Yes sir! It is good that the top line won this game. It’s great to have scoring from at least two lines. That was a beautiful rush that was executed slyly and at speed.

What's the story with our goalie Romanov?

Does he have a future on the big club? He was outstanding.

The Blues signed Romanov back in October a day or two after they lost Ellis to waivers. He spend the last 2 years in the Sharks org getting a handful of games with them but they declined to sign him a qualifying offer and then nobody else signed him either until the Blues came calling right as the season was starting.

He’ll be a Group 6 UFA this summer. Probably doesn’t have a future with the Blues but he did steal the starting spot from Zherenko in the playoffs. Zherenko is also a pending Group 6 UFA. My guess is the Blues will try to keep one of them. But I could also see one or both of them head back home to Russia. He’s been good here down the stretch but I doubt the Blues would want to slot either higher than 3rd on the depth chart.

I feel like Ellis is getting screwed. He was buried by the Sabres as the 3rd goalie and didn't get to play very much at all.
The kid probably has some sort of future as at least a #2. He just needs to play.

Ellis will likely be their #2 next season. My guess is they look to trade UPL this summer.

And while he hasn’t been playing much, I bet he’s ok getting paid $750k in Buffalo instead of $175k in Springfield.
