Not if he doesn’t get that positioning under control. He got crossed up on the same side with Gaudet a few times and he likes to go below the goal line in the offensive zone. He did have a couple good shifts, but I noticed the glaring mistakes

Both Carbo and Jirisek played well in the first and were noticeable.

He's thrown a few hip checks in the OHL playoffs. I hadn't noticed him use that hit in the regular season.

Sure, the hits are nice. But he also has to play his position. Did you not notice him on the same side with God that a couple times? I thought overall he had a pretty good period, but he has to clean some stuff up.

They got carbo on the half wall on the power-play. I wanna see him wire a couple.

I’m sure he’s just getting started. By game’s end he will be calling him a bust.

I wouldn’t go that far. But wanting a defenseman to be good positionally shouldn’t be that weird of a concept. I understand most of the people that post here don’t know the game and may not understand what I’m talking about.

Geez. I mean, I’ve been one of the main ones here saying he’ll need to learn how to tamp down his riverboat gambling tendencies as he transitions to the pro game but good lord, man. He has like 8 minutes of pro hockey experience.

Which proves that it’s a problem that the blues as an organizational whole need to address with their prize show pony. The kid cannot help himself. He had a good period overall, but there are some glaring issues. And calling that out is not a terrible thing.
You should know better than most people that positional mistakes wind up in the back of the net

Two observations: Bobby is smiling (beaming!), and he bears a physical resemblance to AP.
