He's got NHL experience and he's re established himself the AHL playoffs winning two series. They say he's the early favorite for MVP of the playoffs if we keep winning. If the Blues moved Binnington, he would be the most logical backup because of his NHL experience until Havestrom get's here.

What a great might for Steve Ott.

He is the biggest story here, from what I can gather.
The kids are alright, helped out by some very solid veterans.

I mentioned somewhere earlier that it might be up to Romanov, who has been phenomenal in both series. I love his attitude
The slide and belly flop from a goalie as he skates out to accept his well earned First Star accolades is something I have not seen before. The minor leagues are more “fun” than the NHL.

I think Dean gets a good look in camp.

Romanov and being from Yekaterinburg is interesting.

The Blues signed Romanov back in October a day or two after they lost Ellis to waivers. He spend the last 2 years in the Sharks org getting a handful of games with them but they declined to sign him a qualifying offer and then nobody else signed him either until the Blues came calling right as the season was starting.

He’ll be a Group 6 UFA this summer. Probably doesn’t have a future with the Blues but he did steal the starting spot from Zherenko in the playoffs. Zherenko is also a pending Group 6 UFA. My guess is the Blues will try to keep one of them. But I could also see one or both of them head back home to Russia. He’s been good here down the stretch but I doubt the Blues would want to slot either higher than 3rd on the depth chart.

Yes, agree on Dean. He's created an opportunity for himself. Same with Dube.

Ott gets all the credit. He's changed the culture. He did this while working in Ralph, Carboneau and Jirisek. It's a young AHL team to with a lot of first year pros.
