I’ve watched a lot of the playoffs and I don’t see the finals being anything but Carolina and Colorado. Buffalo is a nice story but the power play has been brutal until tonight. They seem to go long periods of games without being any threat. Habs are fun but probably too young. Canes are a force in all aspects of the game.
In the west none of these other three teams are going to give the Avs a series. They are too good.
Good news is that for those of you still rooting for others I’m wrong about this stuff much more often than I’m right.
Sure the Av’s are but this is the playoffs and to quote the great Cosmo Kramer…
“what if there should be an unfortunate accident?"
It's the Missouri thing, Buffalo/Montreal/Philly have to show me they can win and frankly I don't see it. I do think Buffalo has the most talent of that bunch.
In the West Vegas could pull an upset but they really don't look any better than Anaheim except perhaps in goal.
This appears to be headed for Carolina-Colorado. That's ok with me but they're going to have to wade through the mud to get there. I was pleased to see new teams in the mix but by and large they are soft, very soft (* for Philly).
Watching the Ducks Knights game, kind of painful. Vegas has nothing going 5 on 5. Ducks power play was absolutely pathetic. I can’t believe these are 2 playoff teams as they both seem sloppy and little creativity.

HA. Sure injuries could play a role in this. Suppose I should have said "barring catastrophic injuries."

Agreed. It is long time for the league to reevaluate playoff seeding. Makes for great first round matchups but then drops off. Go to 1 playing 8, etc.. and then reseed after each round with highest playing lowest. Should not have the two best teams in the west duking it out in the first round.
