Remember when people actually believe that there was ever a Carlson for Soto trade that the Cards turned down? It was amusing when facts showed it was all fake news and Carlson was never the reason a Soto trade wasn’t made.

People mixing two different story into one and falsely saying Carlson was the reason the Cardinals killed it.
I think people think if they repeat wrong information enough that will somehow make it true
That strategy happens daily.

Weird. He lost the magic.
I saw him in spring training a few years ago and I thought he was a no miss product of the Cardinas minor league system. Just shows how difficult it is being successful.
Multiple injuries - including being steamrolled by Jordan Walker - derailed his career.
It happens.
He's just 27.
Maybe he comes back, maybe not.

False narrative. He was awful long before the 2024 collision with Walker (not "steamrolled" but DC's knee hit a sprawled Walker). He had ten other injuries -- all minor stuff any legit player comes back from. Not DC.
You just make stuff up to fit your narrative. Fool.

You mocked TON, but this guy was injured constantly as well. I think this "steamroll" was basically a soccer fall. Ha.

He made 4+ million playing a kids game for several years. That seems like a win to me. Far more than most ppl will ever see.

I don't feel too sad for him. Hopefully he saved and invested wisely. And good luck to him in whatever comes next.

If he wants to keep playing he could even go abroad and keep playing and earning!

That is true; he’s young enough to keep going - if he still

Folks forget how young he still is.
Another organization is going to give him a look.

So are you finally ready to retract your repeated assertion that Carlson would have a much better career than O'Neil or Bader (since he's unequivocally had the worst career of the three)? Nah, you'll rationalize something dumb.
And how's "irreplaceable Dakota Hudson" doing?

"how's "irreplaceable Dakota Hudson" doing?"
Rather curious that you would want to trot out an example which is but one small portion of my overall 96%+ accuracy rate.
In 2019, 24 year old Hudson was 16-7, with a 3.35 ERA in 32 starts and 174 innings.
For the past 6 years the Cardinals have not replaced or replicated a similar single season from even one of their pitching products.
In fact, not one has been remotely close
FACT is, for every moment of every day for the past 6 years, I have been brilliantly and perfectly correct about him being irreplaceable.
Now, I realize that you read, reread, save, categorize, and cross reference all of my posts by subject matter and date (again, curious behavior since it is never about me and I disapprove when others attempt to make it so), but nonetheless it is not terribly surprising that you unintentionally retrieved something your voluminous archives which confirms the excellence of my analysis.
Being kind and gracious to a fault, I thank you for that.
As for The Paper Tyler, The Poser, and Carlson, it is not possible to compare the final outcome of their respective careers and likely will not be for at least another 5 or 6 years - nor to yet factor how unanticipated injuries will impact the final evaluation.
My advice?

Weird. He lost the magic.

ike Hogi said, “90% of baseball is metal, and the other half is physical”. When he mentally lost confidence in his game it was over.
