But, but, but, they hired a franchise icon, fired their manager who never won anything for them, went out and signed guys- major league proven guys, traded youngs to feed the big league roster. That works, right?

You are absolutely correct. Doyle lost weight, threw a lot harder and got better under Vitello and Frank Anderson.

are they all rookies?
