Paul DeJong in minors

Post by okcardfan »

Yankees AAA team signed him but then, despite 6 HRs in 64 ABs, released him on May 1. On May 5 he inked a AAA deal with Detroit's Toledo Mud Hens, and he played his first game, at SS, for them today, vs the Memphis Redbirds in Toledo.

Does he still constantly have a scowl on his face while being overpaid to play a child’s game? He didn’t know how good he had it.

How many 7th grade teams are you posting about on other boards?
Literally nobody treats it like a child’s game. Go find something else to complain about.

He's definitely not being overpaid anymore.

According to sporttrac his last contract was 2025 with Washington 1 mil. Not sure what he gets paid in AAA. Sounds like a player without a plan after baseball.

He’s made about $30 million playing baseball. He’s 32. I think he’ll be fine.

I Feel that he is pretty intelligent, I remember he has good school record. So I feel he expects a lot from himself, I would probably think he was never happy with his production, given his potential.
