If Honeyman can stay healthy I have him on the prospect track.

Red Sox fans jokingly said Blaze must be Blooms love child as he went out of way to draft him and promote him when they couldn’t see the appeal. So when it was announced that Matz was traded to the Red Sox I posted it would likely be Blaze as the return and it was.
I was surprised when he was left off the 40 man roster. Bloom may be proven right after all with the way Jordan is hitting.

His primary problem was he didn’t have speed and he had Jordan walker syndrome having plus power but hitting too many ground balls to make use of the plus power. He said he was going to work on the hitting angles in the offseason to bring back the power and it looks like he has because he’s hitting for more power. He has a pretty good hit tool and doesn’t strike out if he’s figured out the launch angle and is unlocking that power he could be really good. Maybe bloom knows what he had

there's a A WHOLE LOT OF STRUGGLE in that lineup. Let's hope Odle and Bullpen can pitch a shutout.

Baseball America updated their Top 100 Prospects list

JJ graduated
Rainiel to 31st, was 33rd
Doyle dropped to 61st from 31st
Baez dropped to 57th from 42nd

---------

nod to Brian Walton...I saw the rankings b/c I was looking at another tweet and his popped up. I copied what he tweeted

@B_Walton

I thought BA had Franklin in the Top 100? I guess I was mistaken

Marlin's prospect Tineo has a 10 ERA entering tonight's game vs. PMB....the Baby Cards "should" do well...but we can't overlook how bad PMB has played the last 10 days.

Palm Beach 0, Jupiter 0 ; Bot 1st

Ryan Mitchell ~ 0-0, SB, BB....7th SB on the season

there's 4 guys, including Mitchell, with a .500 OPS in the lineup. Another two are on the bench. This is a continuation of last years post draft team. They're really bad right now. They started off the year on fire, but have lost 7 of 8...and can't buy a run/hit.

Gurevitch is the only one batting over .800 OPS

we have to draft better and scout better for the draft. And we have to scout, sign and develop better in the International Free Agency market.

This PMB team is historically bad.

---------

we can't afford to draft this poorly in July

ball died in deep CF. Odle escapes

Palm Beach 0, Jupiter 0 ; Top 2nd

Jacob Odle ~ 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

Odle isn't bad...drafted out of JC in 2023? I think...injured some before his debut. His FB reaches 99, but sits 96-98. It's not bad...some travel on it. He might be someone to watch in the future...next season, if he progresses well this season. So far he has had some really nice moments....and some unlucky defense behind him.

Palm Beach 0, Jupiter 0 ; Bot 2nd

Jacob Odle ~ 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

Chase Heath ~ 1-1, Single, PO/CS...grounder finds its way into CF. Heath has been cold since a fast start to the season the first 2 weeks. Maybe this will get him going again? Then he gets PO/CS going for 2B.
Ryan Mitchell ~ 0-0, SB, BB
