I wouldn't. I'd much rather use the #15 to acquire a center.

I would be moving up to lock down one of the big RHD.

101 interview just now Army stated that based on the value of #11 + #15 they feel like they could move into the Top 5. My assumption is that means perhaps 2-5. You may be able to listen to the interview later on 101 Espns website.

Would you take, Stenberg, Malhotra, etc? Not sure what team would be interested maybe SJ? Would it be a larger package, i found that comment interesting

Sharks - 2nd overall pick

Blues - Parayko + our 11 and 16 top picks.

Sharks have so much elite talent, they may be willing to swap one for excellent depth players. Maybe.

I have a nagging feeling that its going to be:

To SJ:

#11
#15
Lindstein (or similar 1B type of Blues prospect)

To STL:
Ivar Stenberg

If I’m San Jose I’m asking for more than that.

Whats an example? + another prospect? Parayko? After listening to Army i have a feeling that something is going down. He did also mention the obvious opportunity to also use picks + to acquire a player.

Stenberg would be the most likely target, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was targeting Chase Reid.

he says that the sheet they have (we have posted one thats probably somewhat similar) has their calculations that the team can move up into the top 5. I believe those 2 get you as far as 3-4-5 it might just be 4-5. But it's not far from 3. He said it's still dependent on what they are interested in drafting. But he does think the top 4 picks are more fluid than previous years because there aren't consensus top picks.

My guess is that Army had conversations with SJ prior to the trade deadline, and he knows that they are keen on Parayko, but SJ would not offer enough prospects to accomplish that. Now SJ has a fat prospect dropped in their lap.

I'd prefer one of the top RHD, but I'll take Stenberg. I'd be happy with whoever we got.

I gotta think the chance to have both brothers is going to be worth it to the Blues. Someone online mentioned SJs need for D, Mailloux? Parayko, Lindstein id entertain those packages

Malhotra would be nice.

I'm passing on the defenders. I think because of there being so much success coming from the defensive quarter back position. It's giving these defenders more respect then just a few a years ago.

I'd prefer we look to make deal around 11oa plus Kyrou, or Binnington, include any of fourth line types a team with win now aspirations might be convinced they need.
This being Army's last go. He better "draft day" us a contender for next year.

also to add to my previous comment. The GM's all work off the same "sheet" and have a group text. They set it up so that they have a way to do business with each other. He did say it's more useful later on in the 1st so teams can see how a 1st and a 3rd can move them up like 3-4 spots depending.

the reality is it's hard to move up at the top because you have to convince a team to get off the pick. San Jose is a likely candidate that would get off their pick just due to the fact that they want the playoffs and their clear path is to figure out how to get defenders now. The defender they select at any point in the first round isn't going to help them get to the playoffs the next 2 years. A forward just makes them have a wealth of riches.

IF you think Ivar is a legit Top 6 scoring threat for instance, #11, #15, #30 for that pick, plus a prospect?
