According to dailyfaceoff.

But I'd like Rudolph at #11, #15 Klepov, and #31 Chrenko, who according to this website, will be available for the Blues
I would be ecstatic with those three

I don't want any Dmen under 6'3". The bigger the better when it comes to Defensemen. Keep those lil guys in a forward spot.
better yet, don't take any little guys at forward either
Yep, after all who would that Kucherov guy standing all of 5' 11"
1 example is not a good argument

I think this is who I hope falls to us at 11. Belchetz, Cullen and rudolph are interesting as well. We could trade up, but unless it is to get one of mckenna, stenberg or carels, I would rather just stay put and bpa it. At 15, It would be a miricle if Belchetz fell that far, but would be cool. I think Lin is a possibility here despite the size. He is a great offensive threat and a puck controller. Would also think about trading down from the 15 and taking Command a little later as I think he is gone by our last pick in the first.

this year out of the top 25 scoring forwards in the league 12 of them were 6' or shorter.

Those players are the following:

Kuch
Celebrini
Suzuki
Pastrnak
Kaprizov
Caufield
Guentzel
Keller
Debrincat
Panarin
Aho
Nylander

According to you the Blues should pass on each of them because of their height.

The idea that the only good players are at the very top of the draft is pretty stupid and gets disproven every year. It’s your business if you want to pay attention to the draft or not but there’s no reason to create a fantasy about it.
Here's a quick 2 second google of some top players in the league drafted at 10th or lower in no particular order
Kucherov 58th
pastrnak 25th
Rantanen 10th
kaprizov 135th
Robertson 39th
Suzuki 13th
Caufield 15th
Connor 17th

Anyone who says you can't find talent in the draft is either a troll or an absolute dingus. Yes, it gets exponentially harder outside of the first round. But those are some of the best 20-25 players in hockey. Tired argument by tired trolls.
100%. Heck, even current Blues would be a great example of that. Thomas at 20, Snuggy at 23, Colton at 86. It would be nice to have higher picks for sure, but I have no issues with our recent drafting success. Just hoping it is even better this year with 3 opportunties to bite from the apple.

According to AI (not MacInnis, but A.I.) Blues get Novotny at #11 and Smits at #15, which seems backwards because if Smits is available to the Blues at #11 they be taking him. So basically 1 and 2 are the only locks, and even those two might not be McKenna and Stenberg 1 and 2, but Stenberg 1 and McKenna 2.

EDIT...actually this might be SBNation or that SBNation used AI to generate their mock draft.

NHL.com Adam Kimelman and Mike Morreale have the Blues picking Lawrence or Suvanto at #11 and both have Villeneuve at #15. I think my cat is bigger than Villeneuve, so Lawrence and Villeneuve would be high risk, high reward type picks.

Also....Kuch isn't a Defenseman. I like my Defensemen large and mobile. If I'm gonna have a small speedy skill guy I'd prefer he was a forward.

Just watched Villeneuve leave the puck in the corner to avoid being hit in game 7 of the semi finals. 90 seconds later goal 4 was in their net. Goal one he gave the puck away in his zone and then got beat in front of the net for a tip in. No idea how he projects but personally I don’t care what his offensive upside is if he’s weak in his own zone.

I’ve soured quite a bit on Villeneuve since early in the season. Tommy Bleyl is a similar style of d-man that really came on this season and was super impressive as Moncton beat Carbonneau’s Armada. Very good skater, smart and always has his head up. Excellent passer and distributor. 81 pts in 63 games as a d-man and now taking it up another notch in the playoffs. He’s ranked as a 2nd rounder by most but I bet he ends up getting taken in the later 1st now.

What’s your read on the other highly rated small d, Ryan Lin?
