What does Mizzou Bball still need to fill on the roster?

Well, the guard situation is really the only positional question mark. Crowe is expected to play a lot of point guard, but they have no proven player to back him up at point. But that all depends upon whether they think that Rowe can come in after a redshirt year and play serviceable point guard, since it's the only position that makes sense for him. Then you have Crowe also playing combo guard, and Davis at combo guard, with possibly Jones in the mix there. But Jones has historically played small forward.

So positionally, it looks like this:

Point guard--Crowe half the time, and Rowe
Combo guard--Davis, Crowe part of the time, and possibly Jones part of the time.
Small forward--Jones part of the time, Pierce, and Chronister.
Power forward--Tiller, Bryant, and Burns.
Center--Carey, Randall, maybe Burns.

That's 11 players. Somebody even among that group is probably not going to see many minutes. If Crowe is what we expect, and Jones and Tiller are all they are paying them for, they might not NEED another rotational player. But you're putting all your point guard duties in two players who have no experience at all. On the other hand, bringing in a proven ball handler probably means they don't have confidence in Rowe.

Good write up...but if you have only 2 point guards as shown I don't see Crowe anywhere else but at the point. I would assume he's full time there and the second point guard (Rowe) might be interchangeable with Davis?

Christian Harmon, guard from Arkansas State just signed with Virginia.
He would have been an excellent fit for Mizzou.
I know Gates and Co were interested in Harmon, but he got away.
Most likely, Gates has a few players in mind, and hopefully we find someone like Jayden Stone.

It looks possible that T. O. might stay. I would be good with that. I think his best self is coming off the bench, and he can be very effective doing that.

If Crowe is all we think he will be, he will see 30 plus minutes per game. But his career so far has not shown him to be a true point guard; there is some question of whether he can create for others, and his assist to turnover ratio isn't great. So if you just consider the three guards, Crowe, Rowe, and Davis, and add in Jones, you figure that Crowe will play the point if Davis and/or Jones is on the floor, and switch over to combo guard when Rowe comes in. Gates has a habit of not doing quite what is expected, but I see there being combinations at point guard, combo guard, and wing/small forward of Crowe--Davis--Jones, Crowe--Jones--Pierce, Crowe--Jones--Chronister, Rowe--Crowe--Pierce, Rowe--Jones--Chronister, etc. I think if Rowe is on the floor, he's the point guard, unless he flashes a lot more offensive firepower himself, enough to play the 2-guard.

Most likely, of those players, Crowe gets the most minutes, then Jones.
