We can't talk about drafting 1st overall, so let's discuss all those great memorable moments that killed our chances.

My personal favorite is the time that the Blues bench challenged 3 goals for offsides in 1 game. Was that an NHL record? Whose shoelaces were offsides each time? Are the Blues going to sign the film crew to a long-term deal?

Just remember. That game was our Stanley Cup this year. It was the highlight, so let's discuss it accordingly.

You need to discuss the tie breakers. The wins over San Jose. Had that OT win been a OT Loss then it’s the blues drafting second overall.

Crazy that it’s that single point that cost them Steinberg

Many think that many think that players can purposefully tank, or that the Coach will instruct to do so. Everyone knows that impossible.

So what happened in the last 20 games....?

Many teams "coast" because the games are insignificant. The Coach's focus on teaching and getting extra experience for the rookies.

In contrast, the Blues call back 3 goals in 1 game, and play Buchnevich at Center over Dvorsky.

I hope that this March was a real feast for the winning-is-everything crowd. Come October, it will be back to reality for you.

Thanks for the laugh with you mentioning reality. I don't think you would recognize it if it hit you in the (donkey). I chose that location because of one of my favorite movie quotes of all time. Remo Williams. "You know Chiun sometimes you are a real pain in the (donkey)." Chiun. "That is because it is the shortest route to you brain."

Just curious.

Last year, I said that the March 2025 winning streak meant nothing, and October would bring reality back. Later, Army said virtually the same thing. Then in October 2025 the ugly returned, uglier than ever.

This year, I predicted the March 2026 winning in January. I predicted a lousy draft position in January. Finally, I predicted that the ugly would return again in October 2026.

For the last 2 years, I've successfully predicted the many "surprises" way in advance. What were you predicting last year this time?

Toronto needs prospects more then they need a good winger.
I think it would be a good move if they could get 3 first round assets plus for that pick.

I'd look to do it.

When was the last time the Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Sharks won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Canucks won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Rags won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Flames won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Kraken won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Jets won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Panthers won the Stanley Cup? - ----- O wait this is the only team that has something in common with the Blues
When was the last time the Perds won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Blues won the Stanley Cup? ---- 2019 People who were born after 2010 actually remember this.
When was the last time the Devils won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Islanders won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Blue Jackets won the Stanley Cup?
When was the last time the Blues won the Stanley Cup? ---- 2019 O wait it's the Blues again.
When was the last time the Caps won the Stanley Cup? --- 2018 Congrats to Ovi

There are only 3 franchises in the top 16 in draft order that have any win or take all success where someone who was born after 2010 would actually remember any of it. If you want to talk about championships. The Blues are in rare air here with the teams that have picks.

I believe Kyrou has significant value in a trade with a team that has a favourable environment for him to succeed.( A good 1 and 2C, core is already in place and Kyrou can just add to it but not be counted on. Team already plays well defensively)There are others like Toronto that I just don’t see Kyrou even being a possibility. Chief and the Leafs don’t need a player like Kyrou. Aside from that the media and fans would break Kyrou in Toronto.
