Post by Ventomiglia »

11th pick Lawrence-C-and Rudolph -RD-One will fall to us.
15th pick Belechtz-LW- and Lin-RD are there.
31st pick one of the Ruck brothers.

Lin is a wasted pick in my opinion. He doesn’t fit our defensive core with his midget stature.

Lin is 5'11". Same height as Makar. There are loads of NHL defenseman that are shorter.

If he is Phil Housley or Vince Dunn puck moving ability. I think they get Rudolph and he is a big right shot D to replace Colton.

Also like Klepov in addition to Belchetz, both are scoring winger and Belchetz is a young Kevin Stevens. or young lite Brady T.

I don't know his game and kind of agree with you.

But, there is a trend on small waterbug type defensemen. Makar (6'0"), Lane Hutson (5'9"), Quinn Hughes (5'10").

So, not sure if Ryan Lin projects that way, but I can see the enticement.

We didn't learn our lesson from Perunovich or Krug?
I don't want any Dmen under 6'3". The bigger the better when it comes to Defensemen. Keep those lil guys in a forward spot.

I don’t see Lawrence or Rudolph falling to 11. There are not 10 players better than either in draft.

Lawrence is going to disappoint whatever team trades up to get him.

I’m hoping for Lawrence, Bjork, or Rudolph. 11th is pretty high for us to pick so I’d like to get a center or a right shot defenseman. Belchetz is my next choice if they’re all gone.

Krug even with his career cut short is 17th in his draft class in scoring and 4th in scoring for d men, Peru was a 2nd round talent which fail at this level most of the time big and small.

Should be close but I think you might be right.
