104mph, 48mph, and 71mph EV's for singles....and then a WP to plate one of those singles

shattered bat comebacker that the SS had to hustle to get to...no chance of throwing out the runner.
-------
assessment ~ Martinez's change up and slider combo are pretty good....these 18yo kids never can't handle 8mph difference in FB to offspeed, especially if it's in the zone

Pena makes contact and gets an XBH with hustle...RBI double. Ties the game.
That'll get his OPS over .600

it's better than him getting thrown out at 3B, which he just did. Pena has been a severe disappoint the last 2-3 years.

His days are numbered. After the draft and when promotions take place, I can see him getting cut.craviduce wrote: ↑05 May 2026 18:02 pmit's better than him getting thrown out at 3B, which he just did. Pena has been a severe disappoint the last 2-3 years.

Very athletic dude, but soooo many holes in his game.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑05 May 2026 18:07 pmHis days are numbered. yeah, that's win the rosters are usually thinned out....Cuts, Retirements, etc...gotta make room for Rainiel at Springfield....Campos, Tarlow and Linarez are the catchers. We'll lose Tarlow or Linarez, imo....or one is promoted to Memphis b/c Crooks was promoted, or we lose Yerzy.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑05 May 2026 18:07 pmHis days are numbered. 5 K's thru 2 IP, for Martinez...and a very healthy 2.50 WHIP.
2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 5 K, 1 WP
he's hittable early in the counts, but don't let him get to 2 strikes, b/c you're whiffing if you do.

Palm Beach 1, Jupiter 1 ; Top 4th
Jack Martinez ~ 3 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 7 K
Martin EZ....not Mar Teen EZ.
And his plant foot goes well beyond 12'O clock...but the ball goes straight. The delivery is strange. It's jarring for me to see
he's planting at 11 O'clock, and sorta launching from there.
It's hard to explain

Martinez sent out for the 4th inning....walk and Helmet shot HBP....knocks the Hammerheads 1B out of the game.

Jack Martinez final line : 3 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 3 BB, 7 K, 1 WP, 1 HBP
Jupiter 4, Palm Beach 1 ; Top 5th
Robbie Knowles ~ 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
two bad reads in a row by Ryan Mitchell in CF...two balls land in front of him, CF should've had a better read on both bloops. Several of these runs shouldn't have scored.
