Shooters.

You never have enough of them.

You got two totally opposite responses from two different people whose only commonality is neither ever know what they are talking about.
But then again, you aren't really looking for an answer in as much you were looking for anything from anybody to attack the program.

Although Whineon was cut from the cheerleading squad, he was good at doing the "splits".

Re: What does Mizzou Bball still need to fill on the roster?
Well, the guard situation is really the only positional question mark. Crowe is expected to play a lot of point guard, but they have no proven player to back him up at point. But that all depends upon whether they think that Rowe can come in after a redshirt year and play serviceable point guard, since it's the only position that makes sense for him. Then you have Crowe also playing combo guard, and Davis at combo guard, with possibly Jones in the mix there. But Jones has historically played small forward.
So positionally, it looks like this:
Point guard--Crowe half the time, and Rowe
Combo guard--Davis, Crowe part of the time, and possibly Jones part of the time.
Small forward--Jones part of the time, Pierce, and Chronister.
Power forward--Tiller, Bryant, and Burns.
Center--Carey, Randall, maybe Burns.
That's 11 players. Somebody even among that group is probably not going to see many minutes. If Crowe is what we expect, and Jones and Tiller are all they are paying them for, they might not NEED another rotational player. But you're putting all your point guard duties in two players who have no experience at all. On the other hand, bringing in a proven ball handler probably means they don't have confidence in Rowe.

I think Tiller will play some 5 too, especially if Bryant does well. Also, they could go small Jones playing some 4 as well. But yes, a good ball handler because if Crowe gets in foul trouble, then others will need to pick up the slack.Rvrartst wrote: ↑04 May 2026 20:05 pm Point guard--Crowe half the time, and Rowe

A 3 pt shooter, and a backup point/combo guard. If you can find one that does both, then only one spot need be filled and he can leave it open for some 5-5 returnees if the NCAA allows it. Maybe some D-league dropout gets the last spot. Just someone to spell our super-freshman and provide some deep shooting threat.

I was going to list ball- handler, but thought Winon would get overly excited and confused with the position opportunity and apply for the job. Dribbling, not fondling winonknttiger wrote: ↑05 May 2026 08:06 am A 3 pt shooter, and a backup point/combo guard. It looks possible that T. O. might stay. I would be good with that. I think his best self is coming off the bench, and he can be very effective doing that.
