Scott last night reaped the reward of late night extra batting cage time

Vic Scott extra work in batting cage to improve paid off tonight. Postgame Oli mentioned that last week after an evening game that he was working in his office til 11: 45 or midnight. He heard action going on in the batting cage yet that late. It was Victor Scott .
He said the guy has been working very hard attempting to make improvements suggested by the coaching staff.
In last night's game, it was great to see he was rewarded with a good game hitting at the plate.
Got to give him credit for dilligently working extra time to be productive. It has bee a struglle for him.
You have to pull for a guy that has good work habits and is busting his butt to contribute.

Omg. You mean a guy that can’t hit took extra BP? Praise be! Why’d he wait so long?

Having a guy that didn’t go 0-4 again surely helped the offense. No game saving catches needed in left field if you score enough runs.

The worst hitters get a hit sometimes. Saggesse had a higher average before being sent down. I don’t expect an overnight miracle, especially with Scott’s poor balance in the box.

I believe they lost the last one with Dodgers. You tell me the other 4. I have no problems with Church in CF and that may be where he ends up. But I think Scott not being in the lineup Sunday may have put a charge in him to produce.

I doubt anything changed with Scott sitting out. He did nothing different except that his balls fell in for a change.

As for Scott. I feel him to be an important factor in the young core. Offense or not.

Torres is the move, and will happen as soon as there is an outfielder injury.
