Andrew Chafin Opted Out

Post by Talkin' Baseball »

Andrew Chafin opted out of his minor league contract with the Reds today. He has pitched effectively at AAA in a small number of innings. He is a free agent. I would. Would you?

In my opinion, he is the best left handed relief option that will become available without giving up a player.

In a similar vein- what happened to Michael Kopech? Why has no team signed him?

Wouldn't have to ask me twice. BP could use a little lefty Kenny Powers!

Five came in his first two appearances, including four in his second appearance of the year. One walk in the last 4 weeks or so.

Good question on Kopech - guessing just too many injuries the past couple of years- more time on the IL than the mound.
