Leahy should never go beyond 5 innings regardless of pitch count. He has failed every single time he's pushed past the 5th and the 3rd time through the lineup. It's why he's a relief pitcher and not a starter.

While I see what you’re saying I get why oli sent him back out. The bullpen sucks also this is a runway season and they are trying to make Leahy a starter so they are trying to work him into being able to go six the only way he will get to that is if they let him start pitching into the sixth remember they are converting him to a starter. I’m not a big oli fan but I don’t slam him for every move just the obvious bone headed moves. He let leahy start it and pulled him before the rails came all the way off I like it

Oh I 100% agree he should have been sent out for the 6th to try to save the bullpen some innings. It's just rough because you know his chances of actually making it through the 6th are very slim.
