To get sent down before VS2 has to be a kick in the balls.

Tommy played himself out of PT.
IF they see him having any upside at all he needed to be sent
down, imo.
Prieto soon to be 27 deserved a shot and very well may be the better player.
I agree that Prieto has earned a shot. I just don't see where they slide him in. Is he the backup SS and 2B if Winn or JJ need a day off? Backup 1B if Burly needs a day? 3B already has Gorman and Urias.
if you take away a middle infielding back up...shouldn't you replace him with someone who plays the middle infield? Torres plays 2B, yes...but not SS. And Prieto also plays 3B...which Saggese did as well.
Agree with that and I do not think that they want JJ moving around a lot from what has
occurred to date. It may be the whole rationale behind the Urias signing. Keep JJ at 2B.
Correct move. Bloom isn't an idiot attempting to make everyone a utility player like his predecessor.

Why? one has nothing to do with the other. Scott’s time is coming when noot gets back. Saggs lost his playing time to Fermin who earned it if he can’t see that he’s an idiot

It’s been almost a month since Saggese’s last hit… April 11

Saggese put himself behind the 8-ball when he missed most of spring training to play in the WBC. He followed that up with poor performance and at no point this season has he been on track offensively.

I'm confused.

2023 trades are still giving, though....Prieto gets his turn. Never played SS with the Cards Org until this year. I haven't followed much of his defensive prowess there. I know his 3B was meh to average...athletic enough, made some good running catches...but not overly great/good.

Glad he got his chance though...working on 3 seasons in AAA. Bout time for the chance
Incorrect. Prieto started 43 games at SS for Memphis in 2025.

good job...I missed that. I thought Moore was their SS before JJ got there. I was wrong.

Not unmerited, but odd.
Where will a LH hitting middle infielder get PA's in STL?
Team does not need another LH bat.
And they already have the gloves of Winn, Wetherholt, Fermin up the middle - as well as Gorman and Urias at 3B.
Not much work for a #6 infielder.
Did ChatGPT write this?
No.
But it would be entirely predictable - and wise - if ChatGPT were to copy anything I post.
That would guarantee it would supply the best possible answer to anyone and everyone for any topic on which I have deemed worthy of my time and attention to supply the best analysis humanly possible.

You post some really goofy stuff. This is about a backup infielder replacing your backup SS. Scott has nothing to do with that.

That doesn’t make any sense. That doesn’t explain what I said. Leave wit to those that are witty. Concentrate on poor hitting centerfielders.
