Generations of Cardinals fans: Question

We lived in Memphis. My dad had two big customers in St. Louis. So starting in 1962 we'd go to St. Louis every summer. I was seven.
Saw Musial play, saw Gibson, Bill White, Curt Flood, McCarver, Maris, Cepeda, got Ken Boyer to autograph my glove. Saw Koufax, Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Ferguson Jenkins, Marvelous Marv, Stengal.
The highlight was eating at Musial and Biggies when "The Man" walked in and signed autograph pictures. Still have it.

1st Cardinal game was a St Pete Cardinals game at Al Lang during the summer of 1975. Followed by many a St Louis Card spring training game. Ist regular season game would have been at Shea Stadium somewhere in the mid to late 70's.

At almost 81 years old, my youngest daughter and husband took my two-month-old grandson to a game today. How young were you when you attended your first game.

I'm so proud to see another generation be a Cardinal fan.

I was 11 years old in 1979. August they played the Dodgers.
Got to see Dusty Baker, Steve Garvey and of course are very own sweet Lou. After growing up in a poor family about an hour away from St Louis I often watched them on TV. I remember being amazed at the size of Busch Stadium and being star struck seeing these players in real life. Lou got a hit as he was closing in on 3,000 hits that night. One of my fondest memories of youth

1979, against the Padres. I was 13.

It was an autograph day and Bob Forsch was signing. In my infinite wisdom I asked him how it felt to throw a no-hitter.

He said it felt great! He was much too kind to a dorky kid!

I was 7 and in my rookie year as a Sparta Comic in 1962 when my dad took me to see Stan The Man and the Cardinals in Busch Stadium (a full nine years after it had been Sportsman’s Park). Some guy named Hank homered, but I was busy trying to grasp why on earth we had to do math to tell what the score was. Adding innings? Just show me.

I was only 2, though, when they first took me to The Muny. That stuck, too. “There is nothing like a dame” … still my motto after 69 years.

I was probably six when I went to my first game--we moved to Missouri when I was about five. I'm not from around here, I'm from North Texas...but my dad was from Ferguson.

It was 1996, if I remember right. Hat day for...Tom Pagnozzi, I think? Or maybe Todd Stottlymyre? I remember Willie McGee hitting a home run.

First game I remember was 1983, I was 8 years old, Darrell Porter hit a game tying homer in the 9th against the Reds. We gave up the lead in the top of the 10th and lost 3-2. David Green was thrown out trying to steal 2nd to end it. Edit: Just looked up box score on baseball reference, it was Saturday September 3rd.

We had gone a few other times before that, I just don't have any recollection of them. I barely remember anything of the 82 World Series. 1984 was the year sports really started to click for me. Between the Big Red(Lomax to Green) and Cardinals, it was a fun time to be a kid of St Louis sports.

I was ten when my father took me to my first game in early 1969. Cards/Cubs. Bad guys won. We sat with a group from our hometown, down the third base line in the loge reserved.

My brother (nine years older) remembers Dad taking him to Busch I. Pretty sure it was against the Phillies, don't know the year.

I took my stepson the first time when he was he was five (Spring of '88). It was a weekday afternoon game. Pulled out of kindergarten. We sat in the upper deck, first base side, and had a great time.

It was a Sunday, and I remember we lined up hours before game time to buy bleacher seats. That game turned me into a life-long Willie McGee fan. I was mesmerized by how he glided through CF right in front of me. 51 went 4-6 that day with an HR and an SB. We all know how '82 ended, too. Great time to move to the area and become a life-long Cards fan!

Trivia, another awesome thing happened in that game that will go down as one of the most iconic and unexpected plays in Cardinals history. Who can name it?

At the time, I just thought it was a neat way to win a baseball game. Never put it together about how big of a moment it was in Cardinal lore

We didn't go to games much. Lived down outside of Ft Leonard Wood (on the south side). My first was probably 65/66 so I would have been 12 or 13. Honestly don't remember much about the game. I ended sitting next to a married lady (or maybe no lady) whose husband was on the other side of her. Well she was trying fill out a scorecard and kept asking me how instead of her hubby. Nice looking lady, nice chest, which she made sure to rub on my arm with every question. I had a tent the whole (bleep) game.

I don’t remember the exact year, but it was a double header vs the Braves. Hank Aaron was still playing. Jack Hiedemann played Shortstop in the 2nd game for the Cardinals. Reggie Smith was the RF’er, and hit a bases loaded triple. Ted Simmons hit a 3-run homer in the first game. Got to see Lou Brock steal a base or two. Good memories.
Have attended games the last two weekends with Family. My Grandkids are huge fans!
