Criminal offense, Miami Law. Arrest those players in purple.
Might this whole series be like that..and the next series.
Tired of the Avalanche

Interesting to note, Minnesota scored more goals against the avs then LA did in the entire 1st round series vs avs.

I cannot remember seeing two games back-to-back that were a bigger stylistic contrast.

There were 15 goals scored by 14 different players! Holy guacamole!
This is like 1980's hockey back when the goalies had (bleep) little pads and Gretzky, Bossy, and other high scoring players played exciting firewagon hockey.

(bleep), I go to bed at 3-0 and wake up to 9-6. Gonna have to watch the replay on NHLN this afternoon.

There was some of that and a lot of elite offensive talent going balls to the wall, doing things most other teams can't [consistently].TheJackBurton wrote: ↑04 May 2026 08:35 amGood lord, I didn't watch the game but did either team actually dress defenseman and goalers?

I can understand that but after watching the replays neither goaltender were exactly standing on their heads either.DawgDad wrote: ↑04 May 2026 08:42 amThere was some of that and a lot of elite offensive talent going balls to the wall, doing things most other teams can't [consistently].TheJackBurton wrote: ↑04 May 2026 08:35 amGood lord, I didn't watch the game but did either team actually dress defenseman and goalers?
If Wallstadt had been an average goaltender Minny likely wins game 1

this has happened to the mild before. interesting to see if they will get a bounce back or not. but they have been run out of the building with the bright lights on multiple times.

Yeah, there was some of that. There were also sniper shots that threaded needles, elite passing resulting in open shots, offense played at laser-speed, outstanding individual efforts and displays of elite skills. All of it.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑04 May 2026 09:42 amI can understand that but after watching the replays neither goaltender were exactly standing on their heads either.DawgDad wrote: ↑04 May 2026 08:42 amThere was some of that and a lot of elite offensive talent going balls to the wall, doing things most other teams can't [consistently].TheJackBurton wrote: ↑04 May 2026 08:35 amGood lord, I didn't watch the game but did either team actually dress defenseman and goalers?

The panel was laughing at the 2nd intermission that both teams should pull their goalies. In hindsight Minny should have.
One thing is likely true: Make a mistake against either one of these teams there's a good chance it's in your net.

Re: Wild@Avs TNT/TRUtv
I'm not discounting some of the shots, but there was very little defense played and Wallstadt didn't make any game saving saves. To Wedgewoods credit he kept it below 7.DawgDad wrote: ↑04 May 2026 09:58 amYeah, there was some of that. The really bad one was the Kadri goal to make it 7-5, Wallstadt absolutely has to save that one.
