Thanks for the updates Crav.
Watching Peoria now - up to 4-0 lead. I like some of Franklin's breaking/change stuff, but it's inconsistent. If he improves those, he could be something.
He's getting squeezed again with the one-out walk.
Needs to get out of this jam.
and another walk...he equals Tuesday's start in IP...2 1/3 IP. Runs allowed tbd, with 3 on, 1 out. Olsen with the daunting task at stranding them.
Edit ~ Olsen does the improbable this season...1 pitch, 1 DP to end the inning, and gives Franklin 0 runs allowed. Better than Tuesday on the runs front.

Tai Peete...another double...this kid doesn't know what a single is. His bat flows through the plate really well. Just poor decisions chasing pitches.

How great would it be for the Cards to have a very good OF come up in a few years?
Jalin Flores...I'm shocked. 1) I didn't expect him to be in Peoria after a disaster of a debut in Palm Beach last year. 2) I didn't expect the impressive batting... .928 OPS batting 3rd in the lineup...neck and neck with Peete and Rodriguez for team best.
we might have something there from the Utility Infielder...he's playing 3B/SS with Baez.

it would be awesome. We all know what those chase rates mean in the majors and upper minors ~ Struggle. I hope he can figure it out. We have better hitting instructors now, much better than Jordan Walker had...that's for sure.

He has a pretty swing, unfortunately it just misses the ball a lot.

he's a better version of Luis Pino. Hyper, good in the field, can run, pretty swing, and horrible chase rate. So I have hope. We may be able to make him a better version of himself. Very young...still a lot of time, with a good (better) developmental system at his disposal.
Gurevitch needed another stint at PMB...that's okay, I guess. He's on a hot streak the last 3 weeks. 5th HR today. He was special at San Diego, the reason he was drafted so high. I hope this success, finally, at PMB can translate at Peoria.

Agree. Former first round pick (30th) was a pitcher-shortstop combo so I think he’ll be plenty athletic with good arm in the OF. He could fill out that sinewy body and, if he cuts down on massive whiff issues, be a power hitting outfielder this team needs.

Agreed. Young + toolsy + a FO that has a longer time horizon.
