Just have to hope he stays healthy, if he does, he will be a point per game producer
Which is why it should’ve been a bridge deal.

See if he can stay healthy for 2 years. Then pay him again after the lockout
The MLB lock out? :D The NHL CBA runs thru 2030. Two years beyond your bridge deal. As usual your hot take is badly misdirected.
hahaha...normally I would relate to a mistake or error and give almost any one a break for same.

But this guy just deliberately crams all he can into a pipe for the sake of it.

All of this is because of his original horrendous take on the two offer sheet guys.....and his complete inability to own up to it.

This behavior will go on for some time....as long as his next banning is my guess.

I predicted 3 years at 7 million each. Not bad.

I don't understand the dirty mercenary remark... Holloway is one of the cleaner players out there.

Drooling on the river is a great candidate for exposure and the next expansion draft.

I think it was old goat that made the remarks about the two offer sheet boys wanting to get locked up on their new team. Very thoughtful remark.

This deal was probably signed weeks ago. I'm sure it was signed before Armstrong's press conference remarks. Submited the morning after Edmonton got bounced? Tell me the timing wasn't intentional.

The dirty Merc remark was directed his way because had he stuck it out with Edmonton he’s in the playoffs this year and who knows what kind of contribution he’d make. He was firmly ensconced on the 4th line for them. He had a spot already.

He chose to chase dollars rather than put in the work necessary to win a Stanley Cup. The Blues didn’t even want him. They popped him an offer sheet to make it harder for Edmonton to find the money for Broberg. They even said they were surprised he signed it and were even more surprised when Edmonton didn’t match his deal. But it was a lot of scratch for a 4th line guy. But totally the type of “I’m
Smarter than you” contract that Armstrong likes to dole out. Now we’re stuck paying a 20 goal guy $7.75 for the next 5. The ONLY saving is that it’s not a full NTC and the contract expires when he’s 27. We have time to undo the mistake and not issue another retirement contract/front office job at retirement contract.

The 2019 Luck Cup was primarily composed of home grown guys with a few guys from outside the organization.

It felt like “our team”

This doesn’t.
Dood, You’re going to bust a blood vessel on your forehead if you keep vigorously trying to take ASOGG’s crown for the forum’s best tàrd takes.

If you’re gonna be so anti-everything, at least try to stay on the honest side of the spectrum. It tends to lead to more credibility.

Longer then I thought it would be. I'd guess he walk after a bridge deal.
Almost 8 for 50 games a year. Is that really that good. I don't know.

9 of the 20 players who dressed for game 7 of the cup finals were acquired by trades or free agency. 10 if you count Perron.

Every time you post, you remove all doubt, as the saying goes.

Not worth a response. They proved my point.

Mostly homegrown roster won the Stanley Cup

I suppose the injury history provided a discount. Hope that ankle holds up - He's a fine player. And, you know, life is full of risk.

Thanks for the hot take, Alex Jones.

Have fun explaining the Paul Fischer + First for “Future Considerations” trade that was immediately announced along with Edmonton’s decision to not sign the Offer Sheets.

Oilers decline to match offer sheets; Blues also trade draft pick, Fischer to Edmonton

That was a move completely fabricated to help the new GM save face and not look completely incompetent.

The Hollowell offer sheet was used as a way to get Edmonton to back off Broberg. They said that.

Who is this “they?”
Edmonton Journal: Matheson: GM Bowman explains why Oilers didn't match Broberg and Holloway offer sheets

They simply weren’t forking over the $4.6 million AAV for Broberg, even if they could have maybe squeezed him in this coming season on the salary cap with the trade of Cody Ceci to San Jose.

They could have gone ahead and matched both, just Broberg or just Holloway. But they decided to pass on the first three for cap reasons.
Nothing you’ve stated has been remotely correct. I’m struggling to think of any point in recent memory where you haven’t been living in some alternate reality…

Speaking of the Blues not wanting Holloway..
