Big Mac, Pujlos, George Hendrick - somebody has to help Walker

I started noticing about a week ago he was flailing away again at those outside sliders, curves, sweepers and some in here thought it was not a problem.

But Walker has now struck out 30 times in 82 PA's this month (37%).

He hasn't hit a HR in 8 GP and has slumped to a .182 .250 .242 .492 slash during this SSS stretch.

Hopefully he gets back on track.

Or was that fast start yet another tease and just a mirage?

I've seem people try and explain this to you numerous times on here but you don't seem to grasp it. Maybe give up posting about baseball and find a different sport that is simpler to understand. Something like marbles or tetherball, it would be easier for your simple minded brain to comprehend.

I have no doubt that he is a dedicated fan BUT he lacks the intestinal fortitude to be a sports fan.
NONE of us like losing. But it comes with the territory.
Teams go through cycles. Down seasons happen to most organizations.
Like you said....maybe marbles or tether ball?
Although you can LOSE at those also.
I recommend stamp or coin collecting. Something where you have complete control.

Jordan "I am not a Walker" has accepted just 85 walks in 1141 career PA's.
Most folks believe he has a challenge with pitch recognition.
They are wrong.
Reality is, he can be very stubborn with swing decisions.
He is 6'6', 250 LBS, and strong as a bull.
He hits the ball hard when he makes contact - and he knows it.
That is what he most enjoys doing, that is what he wants to do.
He does not want to accept a walk.
Pitchers know that and take advantage.
The Marmot moving Walker to the #4 spot is exactly the wrong thing to do (though, in fairness, his options are limited) - it encourages him even further into the wrong mindset.
Bloom's biggest blunder in the offseason was his stubborn refusal to add a bat - or to keep one of the bats he already had on hand.
And that has pushed Walker into a role for which he is not currently well suited.
How to fix him?
Not difficult.
One, he is best as #5-#7 hitter - as I have long correctly analyzed.
Two, he must get his walk rate up to 10% - at which point pitchers will throw him fewer pitches outside the zone, which will allow him to make more contact.
Easy.
Obvious.
Correct.
