Probably. And no font needed. And with those arms 2/3 aint out of the question. In this case, 2/3 could be bad.

We have won 4 series, lost 2. No sweeps either way. Yes we played TB, Detroit, and Cleveland all within a game of first.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 08:13 amProbably not, but they shouldn't overlook us either. The Cardinals have won 2 of 3 of most of the series' they've played so far. They also just took 2 of 3 from a first place team.

While Houston's pitching does reek their offense is WOWsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 05:08 am Good morning.
Check this out. Houston has no stud. Their leading ERA starter has a 6.85 era. Seriously. BUT…..
After that, the next 16 games we face the following-
Miami- Sandy -Meyer
Seattle- Woo-Hitchcock-Gilbert-Castillo
Pitt- Skenes-Keller-Chandler
lAD - Ohtani- Yama- Glasgow-Sheehan
brewers- Miz-Patrick-Woodruff.
A possible 16 games against league level Aces. This will tell us exactly where the offense is.
Not a good match for our mostly terrible pitching.

Also, any of those pitchers is also capable of an off-night. Just off the top of my head on that list, Miz is inconsistent. Hitchcock seems beatable. Patrick is okay but not great. I'm more worried about Keller than Skenes in Pittsburgh. I think Paul might be a little gassed still from the WBC. Keller always seems to do to us what we would expect Skenes to do to us. That Seattle run, though, that's going to be killer. I think they've actually got the best rotation in the game.rockondlouie wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 08:58 amWhile Houston's pitching does reek their offense is WOWsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 05:08 am Good morning.

As the cliche goes, gotta play them one game at a time. Anybody can pitch a stinker. Or go six and hand it over to a leaky bullpen. Just play 'em close and let the chips fall where they fall.

I don’t know if I’m imagining things, but it seems to me the Cardinals have a knack for competing well with tougher pitchers while guys like who the Astros are throwing at us shut them down.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 05:08 am Good morning.

That would be great for playoff competition but can’t make the playoffs if you can’t beat the scrubs.

Good write. I agree gotta let them play. One game at a time. Do you think starting with Seattle then Pittsburgh then LAD then Brewers is a tough 13 games reference league top pitching.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 09:27 amAlso, any of those pitchers is also capable of an off-night. And I wouldn't put it pass this team to knock off those "aces", we've done well vs Skenes for instance.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 09:27 amAlso, any of those pitchers is also capable of an off-night. As long as they don't get swept in any of these series, and can take 2/3 from either the Pirates or Brewers, they should be all right.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 09:01 amSo we are assuming 10-8 games.rockondlouie wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 08:58 amWhile Houston's pitching does reek their offense is WOWsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 05:08 am Good morning.

A little about me:
I am more engaged when the team faces good talent. I’d rather see what we do against Skenes than Mikolas

Re: Wow. Look at the starting pitchers we face
We have had 90 innings pitched by starters, using only innings 1-5. We have had about 75 innings pitched by the pen, using innings 6-9.
Our starters got scored on 27 innings of the 90 ish innings pitched. One run was dominate at 14 times. Two runs 7 times.
Our pen pitched 75 ish innings and got scored on 22 times, with one run 9 times, and two runs 7 times.

Re: Wow. Look at the starting pitchers we face
This is the trouble we’re trying to win with pitching. Our starters don’t have endurance, our pen have too many bad apples. And our bottom five hitters are all at .600 OPS or worse.2ninr wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 05:21 amThose pitchers are good against everybody Dog. I think we know where our offense is. We will win some 1-2 run games. Other times we will get pounded. Our run differential will look terrible.

No doubt. It's not easy baseball. But that's the beautiful thing about it--any day you can be the best team on the planet or the worst team in the league.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026 09:31 amGood write. About 30 Quality Starts amongst this group of pitchers we are soon to face. About ten of them rank in top 50 in strikeouts.
