Graceffo

Good to see him back and pick up the W today.
Should have been on the opening day roster.
Others from Memphis will be joining him soon.

The best move made all off season and season was bringing G up. Then inserting him day game one. The only problem I had today is- he should have started the inning.

Looking like a late inning guy so far. He, Romero, and O'Brien. Building something good.

But, his hair is impressive.
Stanek doesn't make me as nervous as Svanson

It is nice to have a team (so far) that is so fun to watch
It is a refreshing change from the last several years

I saw a video on dealin cards today and they said that there is a rule where you cant send players down for the first 15 days after opening day that may be why they havent already sent roycroft down

If Graceffo was available today, why go with Roycroft in the 11th?

Only the convoluted, counter-productive, contradictory "mind" of The Marmot holds the answer to your question.

One of the most important things we learned when Mike Shildt took over at mid season --- you have to play whomever the GM puts on the roster even if it costs the team a game or two. If you protect them they stay on the roster and you burn up the arms you trust, letting them pitch and fail forces the GM to make moves.

I'm not a Marmol fan, but the Roycroft problem is on the front office.

The manager has to use all of the pitchers on his roster. He can't just not use one or two or three guys because they are terrible.

If Roycroft could field his position, he would be as bad as he is.

He makes hitters pound the ball into the ground but they get hits because he can't field his position.

Pretty good starting pitching depth this season with Fitts, Dobbins, Mathews and Mautz at Memphis. And some outstanding starting pitcher prospects at Springfield.
