Attendance
It seems as though the attendance is going to really struggle. On pace for less than 2 million. But, if the young uns keep competing like this, you have to believe the fans will come back out. Pretty exciting to see them play well early.

Re: Attendance
It was a terrible day weather wise. sue attendance has dropped. But games like today will bring more people to the park.

Re: Attendance
Mozeliak being gone is a good start. Hopefully, Oli doesn't drag too many away himself. As Red said, winning will do it, but it'll take at least a month or two (if not more) of winning baseball to reverse that trend. Don't forget last year's team was in a playoff spot (or within a game or two) through June before the wheels came off.CrownRoyalCaramel wrote: ↑01 Apr 2026 17:32 pm It seems as though the attendance is going to really struggle. However, as I mentioned in the game thread, since I moved out of my Cardinal Way office, that pretty much guarantees the Cards will have a strong year, because the reverse of my bad luck will finally grant the Cards an overdue boon of good luck. The universe eems to hate me most of the time, and nothing would p*ss me off more than the Cards clinching a playoff spot the year after I stopped forking over 3k a month to DeWitt.

Re: Attendance
I don't think so. If this team shows the grit they have come out of the gate with the fans will respond. They don't even have to be above .500. Everyone knows this is a rebuild and playoffs aren't expected. but Cardinals fans will come out to see players hustle and try to win.

Re: Attendance
It’s going to take an exciting winning team(playoffs) to put butts back in seats.
BDW really killed the Golden Goose…..fans have found other things to do and are snakebit….It’ll take awhile

One way too encourage people to come out to the ballpark is to make sure BD3 never gives an interview.

If they keep winning series, like they have these first two, it won’t take that long.

Winning will help boost attendance. A bump will occur once summer hits. Now they just need oli to refrain from doing something stupid and BDW3 not doing another Mo impression.

Re: Attendance
Blah blah blah. I'll be attending some day games, and I haven't gone for a couple of years.
I like this team.

Re: Attendance
Was at first two Mets games
NO WAY more than 15,000 max (and I could be high) actually there.
But the team is playing well
Once the kids get out of school attendance will pickup if they keep playing well!

I'll tell ya what, I like baseball, love the Cardinals, probably my sons 2nd fave sport behind hockey.BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑01 Apr 2026 17:54 pm I don't think so. With that said, last year I dont think I watched a game and I know we didnt attend one. I've already watched more baseball this year than all of last year, conversely keep looking at tickets every day to see when we can go. I know they wont be good, but better than watching the same old tired retreads we have been for the last 5-years.
Side Note: While I want to go to a game, whats up with 400 level tickets on Stubhub still going for 20 bucks a piece? I want to go but I'm not paying $100 for my family to go...and its only April, kids are still in school. I want those $5 tickets from last year lol

Re: Attendance
Currently, the Cards are drawing more fans per game than Cincy, KC, Baltimore, and Miami. 12 teams still haven't had their home openers yet.

Re: Attendance
While Winn is certainly not a 4 hitter, not having arenado in the middle of the lineup is quite refreshing. The young guys’ potential with new FO, new development personnel, and hopeful maturity of guys like walker and Gorman make this team interesting at the very least. It also seems like this team is allowed to actually have a little fun too. Wonder why.
I’d be more inclined to go to games this season compared to the past few.
