Re: CJ Buckner
If a player committed six errors, they would probably be taken out of the game.

Re: CJ Buckner
What compelled you to criticize Buckner? Do you think he did not know for himself? In hindsight, you know that you made an error too. No one is beyond correction. We all make errors, do we not? If not, then I take it all back. However, neither the gift nor the giver deserves punishment.opti mist wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 10:32 amSince I immediately posted "Sorry, CB, not CJ." under the OP (you cannot edit a title), I am curious as to why you felt compelled to make your post? Humor the board by explaining your reasoning.

Re: CJ Buckner
Why would you stick up for Bucknor? Even his mom hates him. If not for him being a member of a union, he would have been relieved of his job years ago. THIS IS CLASSIC CARDS TALK STUFF. It’s BUCKNOR, LCA. Now, that’s funny. You made an error criticizing his error.

Re: CB Bucknor
Yet they are nothing like being almost the same thing. A forum post wrong initials pretty much affects nothing, maybe draws some mocking. But 6 blown calls in a billion dollar sports enterprise affects players, teams., people who bet.... And this umpire with a massive history of mistakes, so acting like it is a one time offense is laughable.
Per Google:
Per Google:
Based on 2025 data, Bruce Dreckman was the lowest-graded MLB umpire (92.5% accuracy), followed closely by Laz Díaz, C.B. Bucknor, Andy Fletcher, and Ron Kulpa. Historically, Angel Hernandez (retired 2024), C.B. Bucknor, and Joe West are widely considered among the worst by players and statistical analysts due to poor strike zone accuracy.

Bucknor stinks. Hes more interested in arguing than umpiring.

You assume I criticized CB. I simply posted his performance. CB's performance speaks for itself and has a history.LCA1951 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 16:52 pmWhat compelled you to criticize Buckner? Re: CJ Buckner
Funny how everyone knew who I was talking about, even though I gave him the wrong initials and misspelled his last name. Good thing I'm not getting the pay that Bucknor is receiving. Also, good thing that I can't eject from the board anyone who argues with me.
For the record, it is CB Bucknor.
Bucknor, a 26-year veteran behind home plate, has long been reviled for his inconsistent application of the strike zone. On Saturday, he found a willing dance partner in the form of a newly minted participant in big-league contests: the automated balls-strikes challenge system.

You have to admit this board is classic.
Thankful I can enjoy a good laugh and know others are doing the same.
Life is way too short to miss a good laugh.
