For someone who is constantly taking exception with people posting negatively on here, welcome to the other side!Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 14:09 pmI went back and watched it. A late break. Poor judgment on the ball. A dive after the catch. Oh he looks like Willie Mays.Hoosier59 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 14:06 pmI guess you missed the diving catch Saggese made then !Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 13:58 pm Joined late. An outfielder catches the ball that Saggese didn’t. Easy play by any outfielder. It’s sickening to watch players play out a position all the time.

maybe Miles Mikolas getting shelled is a better comparison than Paul Skenes.

Is it negative to point out that your infielder is not a good outfielder? If it is, I guess I’m negative. I would probably be negative if you were playing centerfield.Hoosier59 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 14:13 pmFor someone who is constantly taking exception with people posting negatively on here, welcome to the other side!Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 14:09 pmI went back and watched it. Ollie’s fault.

I'll take Skenes over May. That center fielder for the Bucs was no help to Skenes.

The series win would serve as evidence, but I am aware that evidence matters little to chicken littlesrockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 14:06 pmSouthern Illinois wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 14:02 pmAnd yet a genius manager has been outmaneuvered to the tune of at the least a series loss to the Cards.rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 12:13 pmI'd say K. Oli's going to stick w/Winn at clean-up (0 RBI's---.111 .111 .222 .333) no matter how clueless it makes him look, the definition of insanity.![]()
GO CARDS!
JJ leadoff, he wants Herrera , and Burly 2 & 3 as you want your best hitters to potentially get to the plates the most times so he won't mess with that trio .. then Scott is locked in at 9 only.
So today that leaves Saggese , Pages, Walker, Urias , and Winn as his choices for the 4th spot. Winn is no sure thing but Oli must feel that the other 4 aren't a better threat from that group.
His best hitter, where has he been batting?
J. Caminero----clean-up.
Herrera in the #2 is a waste (and please, don't regurgitate that stupid theory about the best hitter batting 2nd, teams like the Angels have used this stupid move and wasted a great talent like M. Trout's career), he needs to be hitting clean-up.
Wasting Herrera's RBI potential (least we forget he's got J. Walker, P. Pages and VSII setting the tableahead of him along w/one good hitter in JJW) in the two hole to get a handful more PA's is stupid.
"outmaneuvered" by Oli?![]()

Not its not Ollue's fault. The organization wants Saggase in the outfield. If he can be adequate out there he adds a lot more value to the team. It takes playing time to learn a position and the nuances. He hasnt played there much yet. Thats what this season is for.Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 14:14 pmIs it negative to point out that your infielder is not a good outfielder? If it is, I guess I’m negative.
