Fedde vs Matz for the sweep!
Oh wait, no more Mikolas, no more Fedde games. We actually have a stud pitching today. May could become our best stater on the team. Maybe we can sweep the Rays! Go cards!

Fedde, they had a 7+ war pitcher they could have flipped and decided to hold on to him.
Makes you grateful for Chaim.

Wasn't Fedde a 7 WAR the first season the Cardinals acquired him. It was some outlandish level of performance. Then he went to (bleep). Yep it's hard to look at 2025 Fedde and imagine that pitcher being worth 3.4 or 5.6 WarAlex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 07:44 amFair enough, point still stands Chaim IMO would have fetched something in return.Quincy Varnish wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 07:35 am5.6 bWAR, 3.4 fWARAlex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 07:32 amWasn't Fedde a 7 WAR the first season the Cardinals acquired him. Yes, Mo was still in charge, but you are presuming that Chaim wasn’t consulted on whether to trade Fedde or not?Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 07:44 amFair enough, point still stands Chaim IMO would have fetched something in return.Quincy Varnish wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 07:35 am5.6 bWAR, 3.4 fWARAlex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 07:32 amWasn't Fedde a 7 WAR the first season the Cardinals acquired him. I find it hard to believe he wasn’t on board with the decision to keep him until the trade deadline. Due to this past off-season and the current roster construction.

Mozeliak stupidly actually believed his 2025 roster might make the playoffs. That’s why he, stupidly, did not trade Helsley, Fedde, or any of Gray, Arenado, and Contreras before the season started.
As was usually the outcome over the last 10 years of Mozeliak’s career, he was wrong.
No way to know for sure, but I doubt Bloom shared Mozeliak’s hallucinations.

Well, I hope he gets better because right now he's got a 13.50 ERA. LOL He's talented enough to be better than that, surely he will be.TheFantasyStud wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 07:08 am Oh wait, no more Mikolas, no more Fedde games. We actually have a stud pitching today.
