So, I guess Gorman will sit again tomorrow against Matz.

And urias hitting 6th lol but his crazy lineup worked the other day. Also looks like they don’t have much faith in gormans defense
Why would they?

here's what I'd like to see today, win or lose:

JJ have a good 2nd day in MLB.

Walker to hit a no-doubter HR

:)
I'd also like to see Herrera not leave the game with a ham-string issue.

Small sample size, but it looks like the DH may be a split between Gorman and Herrera and Urias/Pages will play the field while the other guys DH. I suspect then that Pozo plays every 4th to 5th game to spell Burly, Herrera, Gorman for a day off.

If IH hits 2 and he sticks with alternating L - R hitters:

1. There are 3 spots left in the order 4 - 6 - 8 for a RH hitter.
2. The choices are Winn, Walker, Pages or Pozo if IH is DH. If IH is C, the choices are Urias, Fermin, Sagesse.

If Herrera catches. Gorman should DH. If not him who with what he has on the roster
Do you want Pozo

If he attempted to do so, it would probably make your head hurt!
Or at a minimum, leave fans with more questions than before his "explanation".

And the flip side, my adoptive home team. Old favorite Richie Palcios gets his first start.

You guys are acting as though the team has a typical cleanup hitter. They dont employ one at the time, so putting a guy there who can put the bat on the ball isn't a bad thing if the guys in front of him continue to get on base.

Gotta say how excited I am to watch soon. Was at work two days ago, but today I get to sit down and watch!

I have missed baseball a lot.

Opening game gave me some baseball cautious hope .... What a great opening win. 1-0 is a nice start.

Go Cards .. go make it 2-0!

You have the general idea .. That's why Oli said prior to season , he liked to have Herrera 'catch' about 2 games per week.
It opens up the DH spot for Oli to do what you suggested .. Insert a posiiton player in there .. like today GOrman with Urias .
other days it could be another starter spot with reserve taking over for him .

Let’s hope Urias has a great game, but let me say this, he’s playing and Saggese and Fermin sit. What’s the team’s purpose of this?
From what we were told this season was all about, it makes zero sense for Urias to play while the other two sit. Either of them could play 3rdbase. Gorman hasn’t shown, so far, that he is a liability there either. Cant help his confidence, feeling like the team isn’t all in with him playing there.
Am I wrong about this ?

Well I’ve now blessed Masyn Winn, who will now probably go 3-4 w/ a HR and 5 RBI so you’re welcome.
