Here is the real question. Why does ownership want to force people to change? More than 60% of this market is either Direct TV, Dish, or Spectrum. Also has a large rural market that doesn’t not have fast internet. Fans should be upset. Especially the older ones who fit the above criteria. It’s not hard to use the estimating providers. the Cardinals just don’t want too.

91% of Americans have a smart phone, 96% have Internet.

Not sure ol Billy or his wig wearing son care about TV viewership. Maybe they think less access will pull more fans to Busch.

Who wants to watch a baseball game on their phone and not all TV's are smart TV's.

with the $99 Cardinals tv subscription, can you use it on multiple tvs? as an example on a home tv, then on a work tv? or both at the same time if someone at home wants to watch and you also want to watch at work? or even 2 tvs at home in different areas of the house?

I think the OP is suggesting the Cardinals will lose thousands of loyal viewers, probably on the lower side of the income scale.
If those folks don’t have internet or smart phones……they are not really the demographic advertisers covet…
Also, are we really going to believe people who spent enough on cable to have Fox Sports Midwest in the past don't have the money to pay for the internet or a smart phone? Come on now.
This may shock some of you, but some people won't be able to justify putting a hundred bucks on a Cardinals package.
Laughable. Since when do you care about affordable anything for anyone?? I guess when it involves fossils who can't watch their baseball, wahh. What next? Will we force them to choose between their cat food rations and the cardinals teevee package? Give me a break. Let me break out my tiny violin and play 'Nearer, my gawd, to thee' for you while your ship founders, lol.
Well, some day your parents are going to cut you off and you'll have to figure it out for yourself.

maybe they have no desire whatsoever to pay for yet another streaming service.
Then get a lower tier of cable/streaming to pay for Cards streaming. I'm overall paying less now because I halved my monthly streaming bill because I don't watch much regular TV and only had the higher tier I had because it had Bally's and the Cards.
if it isn't on my Spectrum I'll just wait a few years until we are actually good again!
I hope you live that long. Nothing guaranteed.

I have Directv Streaming which currently does not show any Cardinal games being broadcast without a subscription.
Are you saying that there is going to be an announcement (before home opener on Thursday) that games will be shown on Directv Streaming?

We dropped cable 4 years ago. Haven't watched a Cardinals or Blues game from home since. Dont miss it at all in reality. Should have cut the proverbial cord before we did. We did keep Netflix, Prime video and pay for Britbox. I agree its easy to have empathy for those that cant or won't do streaming. Thats just the media or digital world we live in today.

Most stuff is about the $$. So if some system isnt carrying it yet, that is likely to, then sounds like the $ paid to carry it on the system has not been agreed upon? Maybe Spectrum and Direct tv are holding out against Bills price?

What about nursing homes?

I doubt they spring for the APP.

I have an uncle who is a big Cardinals fan.

They have Spectrum.

If that works out great.

If not…….

If people can sign into the forum to complain about it, they should be able to handle signing into a streaming channel once. I sign in the first day and never signed in again.
If I had to pay $89 a month for cable to watch the Cardinals, I wouldn’t. $99 for a year didn’t seem bad.

Get a better nursing home???
Every true Cardinals fan will buy the package so they can invest more in the players on the field. 😂 I’m just kidding around. I don’t care who buys.
