162 games in MLB season. I’ve never understood the philosophy of giving away games starting inferior players. If Scott and JW cost the team 2,3,4 games by June and then in late Sept we’re wondering why the team is 4 out of a playoff spot…..it can be directly pointed back to playing dead spots in the batting order.

If Scott and JW cost the team 2,3,4 games by June and then in late Sept we’re wondering why the team is 4 out of a playoff spot…..it can be directly pointed back to playing dead spots in the batting order.

Yeah, let's get in a real hurry and promote Baez to the majors before he accommodates in AAA and then watch the best pitchers in the world figure him out and frustrate him before he's ready. Maybe we can replicate Walker. Stop with the foolish suggestion that Baez, with no AAA experience, is the difference between playoffs and no playoffs...based on games in April?

Well RoJo the kid appears to be the real deal but you're right he and "V" both have to show they can do it in The Show.

But c'mon man, you have to agree that OF looks a whole lot better than one having J. Walker and VSII in it.

And if Noot is healthy and hitting like he's done when healthy in his career (career .747 OPS/109 OPS+), then he'll be in heavy demand mid season and bring back way more than your old sushi.

No one posting here has ANY clue about outcomes of these unanimous positions……but they surely are confident.
Do you know that Baez has no ability to adjust to MLB pitching??
Do you know it will be a walk in the park for JJ?
JJ is 9mths older and played college ball
Baez has been in the cards system for 4 YEARS……perhaps things have clicked for him….
When watching JW and Baez do they seem like the same person to you….the same approach…..using JW now to cast a giant shadow on every potential MLB hitter is stupid

Starting to sound like a broken record. Why would we want a kid who floundered right up thru 2024 on the farm spend a little time in AAA when he can just adjust in the majors? Walker anybody? These big bad coaches don't know what they are doing...and Goldfan is ready to say "I told you so" when Baez takes over the NL MVP race!

JJ rose thru the entire minor league system, including AAA, and showed he could deal. He had 3 years of college as part of the development program. It isn't the same thing.
