Bloom is looking for longer term consistency.
Fitts couldn’t beat out 6-15, 5.60ERA Pallante for the last spot in Cards rotation and is at AAA
Dobbins can’t seem to achieve 2 healthy stable legs to stand on the mound.
Is that the consistency Bloom is looking for?

They know Pallante and are going to give him a chance. Simple familiarity.

Dobbins had an ACL tear. It's healing. They are just being cautious with him, that's all.

2nd repair to same ACL before the kid is 25.

Yes it’s been reported he rushed back from the first one which most likely lead to the second one. They have been very conservative on bringing him back from the second one to make sure he has fully recovered from it.
Hes already been pitching they have just been slow on having him field his position he is not far away from
Being ready

Fitts and Dobbins need more time.

AP in the starting rotation doesn’t mean he’s there until years end, or even through May.

What’s the logic of “needing more time”? More time for what? Dick Fitts is healthy, Cuse was really excited to see Dick in the Starting rotation. What specifically does he need more time for?
The LOGIC of this situation is that Fitts was projected to beat out a Pallante and BP arm Leahy. Pallante has a track record of being a poor SP
6-15, 5.60 ERA last season. LOGIC would follow that type of SP wouldn’t be hard to beat out in a competition for SP.
So please formulate this logic I’m apparently not following.

Fitts is having some control issues he is working out.

And though I don’t love AP, he has had successful long streaks as a starter.

Dobbins and Fitts aren’t presently in the rotation. That can change.

Fitts has always had control issues….thus his losing record and 5+ ERA but that didn’t stop the CT geniuses slotting him the 2026 rotation after the trade ::crazya:: …..now those same posters state he has control issues

Where’s that LIST of players you were going to provide that Bloom missed out on?????????
And you of all people should never capitalize LOGIC!
And yes...I am excited to see Fitts, Dobbins, Mathews, etc etc.

What fan has a list of 29 teams prospects who align in particular trades? Is that my job? I’m POBO. I can recognize damaged bodies and the risks associated compared to normal MLB player injury history. The same torn ACL by 25 in a high leg torque position as SP isn’t the same as a pulled hamstring. A 24 yr old who has NEVER pitched a full season at any level who’s had TJ, TOS, fractured shoulder, and now circulatory issues/numbness in pitching arm who required surgery to correct an aneurysm should be a Giant RED FLAG. And these were the 2 TOP main prospects returned….who had CTers so excited.

No list...just as I expected...thanks Kreskin!
When you stop babbling and whining you need to get someone”working your corner” to “throw in the towel”.
You’re taking too many head shots!
Have a nice day!
Probably just stick with “Go Cards”….any more in depth thinking and analysis concerning a MLB team seems beyond your scope. GO CARDS
Hey I’m good.
And at least I’ll continue having meaningful discussions with the majority of CT posters.
And we’ll agree to disagree.
I think we’ve got you figured out. And you are wise to stick to an “anonymous” forum.
In public you’d be laughed out of the room.
Have a nice day!
