Then get a lower tier of cable/streaming to pay for Cards streaming. I'm overall paying less now because I halved my monthly streaming bill because I don't watch much regular TV and only had the higher tier I had because it had Bally's and the Cards.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑20 Mar 2026 17:38 pmmaybe they have no desire whatsoever to pay for yet another streaming service.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑19 Mar 2026 20:40 pmAlso, are we really going to believe people who spent enough on cable to have Fox Sports Midwest in the past don't have the money to pay for the internet or a smart phone? Laughable. Since when do you care about affordable anything for anyone?? I guess when it involves fossils who can't watch their baseball, wahh. What next? Will we force them to choose between their cat food rations and the cardinals teevee package? Give me a break. Let me break out my tiny violin and play 'Nearer, my gawd, to thee' for you while your ship founders, lol.BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑19 Mar 2026 21:22 pmThis may shock some of you, but some people won't be able to justify putting a hundred bucks on a Cardinals package.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑19 Mar 2026 20:40 pmAlso, are we really going to believe people who spent enough on cable to have Fox Sports Midwest in the past don't have the money to pay for the internet or a smart phone? Then you live in a different place than I've ever lived in the US. Yes they pay more, but they make far more on food and drinks.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑20 Mar 2026 17:45 pmCommercial businesses, such as bars, have to pay a much heavier fee, so many very well may go "No thanks"PacNWCardsfan2 wrote: ↑20 Mar 2026 15:20 pm As happens a lot out here, many go to their local watering hole to watch with others. Sure beats sitting at home alone watching the games.
Example, say they pay $3000/month for cable. That will typically be made in a single Friday.
Again, bars and pubs I have been to since cable began have always had cable or satellite.
Perhaps folks in STL, don't frequent those places. If so, they are like the only sports town that it doesn't happen.
Such a pessimistic outlook.

Lmao. Where do you live? Any good sports bar owner is set up to get the games. Any bar that doesn’t have the game on is not a sports bar. Patronize a different business.

Every bar I know gets local sports teams. For them not to get the local sports teams, the Bar would soon be out of business. It is silly for someone to suggest that the local bar owner would not pay to have a bar full of people. It’s just nonsense what others are sayingPacNWCardsfan2 wrote: ↑20 Mar 2026 18:34 pmThen you live in a different place than I've ever lived in the US. EDIT: my curiosity got the best of me so I called the bar that I would typically go to on Monday night. Their seating capacity is less than 100 people. They pay $1100 for the SEASON of NFL football.
They will make that back in the first quarter of one game.

I’m paying $99 A YEAR for the Cardinals. Some people are paying $89-$129 a month for Spectrum so they can get the Cardinals for free.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑20 Mar 2026 17:48 pmThen get a lower tier of cable/streaming to pay for Cards streaming. What about those poor people that don’t own Formula One cars. They won’t be able to go Formula One racing. Maybe it’s in the best interest of a business not to have to cater to the poorest of the poor.

It’s funny, because I don’t have regular DIRECTV or spectrum. I’m not paying that money for channels I barely watch. So by Cardinals going to streaming I bought the Cardinals package. It’s worth $8.50 a month.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑19 Mar 2026 20:40 pmAlso, are we really going to believe people who spent enough on cable to have Fox Sports Midwest in the past don't have the money to pay for the internet or a smart phone? What percentage of Cardinal fans do you think, Don’t have electricity to even power a television set? What about those poor people?
Not one person in Cardinal nation that doesn’t have electricity will be able to watch the games. This has to be a conspiracy against old people that don’t have electricity.
