Saggese will likely get a long look in LF for the rest of spring training. Marmol seems to really like him in his lineup. Currently, it makes sense vs LHP. However, Saggese still seems to have much the same issue as Walker. With two strikes in the count, swinging at breaking balls out of the strike zone vs RHP. He'd probably be fine vs LHP.
And we should not be surprised. Very little was done to improve the weakest area on the team.
Not to worry ozziefan says we have plenty of OF talent.
Who said that? That’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever said and it’s a blatant lie
Nah you said we don't need any other OF'ers...lighten up you've got six months to get lit up.
No i didn’t I told you why he wasn’t trading for an outfielder you’re the idiot who has difficulties comprehending

And you think that constitutes "depth"?

The only "fact" here in this thread is you're an idiot.

I never said it was depth you idiot I said that’s one of the reasons why they weren’t trading for an outfielder the other reason is because if they trade their starting pitching depth they no longer have depth if there are injuries or pitchers are ineffective but keep being stupid

I feel Saggese has much more potential to improve, offensively, than Walker and Scott do.
I know you’re a big Sags honk, Shadester. I’m just not seeing it at the plate yet. I would love to be wrong about him, but I’m afraid Sags is just another one of Mo’s AAAA guys.

Agree but it is another situation of forcing an infielder to play outfield. He can do it but he has not gotten many reps out there.

I think we have a couple of good defenders but bats are limited. In fact if Walker starts offense is basically non existent.

Unsettled is a tactful way of putting it. LOL
Just to START the season:
Walker- this is probably it. Very little rope!
Scott- decent tools. He gets more rope.
Church/Velázquez- let’s see what they got while Noot is out?
Noot- does he come back to establish health before being dealt?
Baez- could be a factor after the AS Break?
Herrera- does he wind up in OF?
Saggese- same as Herrera?

I admit it’s not pretty but will be interesting!

Rock, I agree with your OP lineup choice. But dumb (donkey) oli will probably go Saggese, Scott, Walker.

No doubt Juan, his lineups have been a joke.

If he does, dip [shirt] oli will run him out to LF
