I think I first saw Jake's Leg around 1978 or so in the bars around SLU (forgot the name). Liked them quite a bit back then.

20 North was the name of the bar where Jake's Leg played. SLU bought the bar from Randy the rhythm guitar player in Jake's Leg in Oct. 1999. The bar was torn down and the property is a grass field today. Jake's Leg holds a 20 North Reunion concert during the summer at the Old Rock House in downtown St. Louis every year. They have not posted the date for this year's 20 North Reunion. Jake's Leg will be at Busch Stadium on April 24th for the St. Louis Cardinals Grateful Dead Night. This is the 11th year Jake's Leg has played Grateful Dead Night at Busch Stadium.

Jay Blakesberg, a photographer who spent most of his career following and shooting the Dead, spoke at an event the night before at 4 Hands Brewery. He was also in town for the Jake's Leg event you posted on.
It was a great evening. Jay is a dynamic and great public speaker and his stories of how he got started photographing the Dead in the late 70s, all the way up to the last run of Sphere shows before Bobby died were fascinating to hear. Sometimes I go to these events with famous to semi-famous to the mostly unknown speaking on a topic and they bore me to tears and I want to leave. This was not one of those events. Also glad I paid for the VIP to get the copy of his book. It's beautiful photography and I suggest if interested to order it.

Jay Blakesberg was the MC at the Pageant for the JGB & Jake's Leg show. He left St. Louis after the show to attend the Phil Lesh birthday shows in Port Chester, NY at the Capitol Theatre. They've sucked very hard for decades. At least they are consistent.
