Will Cardinals have a pitcher win more than 10 games?

Last year they had one, Gray won 14, next was 8 wins.

It seems like wins are less important now since they restrict innings, pitch counts, times through the line up, etc. it would not surprise me if we have none or very few 10 game winners. But we’ll see. I don’t know anything about it but I focus more on earned runs and WHIP.

Even with less innings I would hope a pitcher would have the lead after 5 innings.

Me too but with our offense there will be some well pitched games with limited run support. I’m frankly more concerned about offense than pitching. But again I know just enough to be dangerous.

They'll have three (Libby-May-McG or Fitts)

Every post OldRed has made this offseason has been in the voice of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.

About right for you two, when you can't make an intelligent response, go on the attack of the poster.

I agree, 3, and maybe 4, if they stay healthy, and the bullpen is as good as last year, which is not a given. No Helsley, no Maton, and as of now, no Leahy.

I say yes. At least 2 will win 10 games.

Didn't see your input to the question you asked.

Yep, all four of the above could win 10+ games.

Pen's are indeed volatile but I think this one could be very good again, they prospered after Helsley & Maton were dealt.

Svanson would be my closer w/strong arms JoJo, O'Brien, Stanek etal behind him.

Hopefully one of the new additions can replace Leahy if he makes the rotation.

That's how I feel. The pitching will be *fine* not great, not bad...just fine. The hitting is what I'm not at all sold on.

As per the first question...I think Libby/McGreevy win 10. I say May will also win 10+...but it won't all be with St. Louis.
