I haven't looked up but I wouldn't be surprised if he is the last player to get 100 RBI with that few home runs and strikeouts. Analytics models today say players need to focus on launch angle and exit velocity.
Molitor was close...9/113 in 1996.

Probably not. But if you have 2 or 3 guys with 90 rbi you would score some runs. I don't see that happening either though....

Never as long as The Marmot is the manager.
He does not believe in everyday players unless there is a 100+M contract forcing him to do so.
but high em loves him

RBI total is a stat the batter has limited control over .
He must have runners on base ahead of him to get an RBI (except on his solo HR shots ).
So a top hitter on a poor hitting team would struggle to get 100 While that same player on say the Dodgers would get many more RBI with their offensive players.
So RBI total means little to me in judging any player. Batting avg. is on the hitter not RBI though.

I legitimately question if they will even have a 70 RBI man.

FYI, a few outliers I found:

Allen Craig had 97 RBI on 13 HR in 2013.

In 2011, Micheal Young of Texas had 106 RBI and 11 HRs. He also had 103 RBI and 14 HRs in 2006.

In 2011, Victor Martinez of Detroit had 103 RBI and 12 HRs.

In 2009, Bobby Abreu of the Angels had 103 RBI and 15 HRs. He also had 107 RBI and 15 HRs in 2006.

In 2003, Edgar Renteria had 100 RBI and 13 HR.

In 2000, Jeff Cirillo of Colorado had 115 RBI and 11 HRs.
Cool. We should have kept Renteria.
Didn't the team want him to stay but he chose to chase money in Boston?

Will this team have a 100 RBI man?
FUNNY!

That's as funny as:
Cardinals Extend Oli Marmol!

Or as funny as:
with a club option for 2029.

If Nootbaar gets healthy quickly and he and Wetherholt are in the 1 and 2 hole most the season, then Herrera and Burleson both should have a really good shot at 100 RBIs.

For the record, the 2025 Blue Jays and Dodgers had a combined ONE player with 100 RBIs.

Ohtani: 102 RBIs.....in 727 PA

So no, the best teams aren't littered with 100 RBI players...

According to baseball reference he made $7.2 million his last year in St Louis. $8 million the next year in Boston. Not sure what happened but what a ballplayer.

Didn't the team want him to stay but he chose to chase money in Boston?

Last year would say both of you are correct .. will be difficult and maybe not a 70 guy
But Burly did get 69 last year so missed the 70 by one RBI Note: Burly did lead the team with 78 in 2024 . That was on a team that had Goldy and Arenado .. those two long gone too.

The only player that did better was Contreras with 80 and he flew the coup !
