Another slow start by SLU against a mid-table Duquesne team.
SLU seemingly takes time to warm up.
That will be difficult to continue that come tournament time.

4th straight game that SLU has trailed at the half.
16 3-pointers helped get the win.
Last week of the regular season -
Wednesday at home against Loyola and then finish on the road at George Mason next Saturday.
SLU needs them both to still have a chance for an at-large bid but have lost their last 2 road games.
A-10 tourney starts on March 11 but SLU won’t play until Friday the 13th (as a 1 or 2 seed)

Re: SLU 91 Duquesne 76
Not making excuses but the slow start last night was their ridiculous shooting in the first 5 minutes. I think is was 7/8 or 8/9 and many of them were threes. Mostly by number 1. Once they reverted back to the mean the game played out as expected. Some of the other slow starts were sloppy play by SLU. Last night it was 5 minutes of a Steph Curry impersonation .
Did Avila go on about a 14-0 run by himself early in the second half? Seemed like it.
Kudos to the crowd last night. Building was full and it was loud. Great time and great atmosphere.
