Strange I got a warning for only posting a link and not a paragraph on the subject.

Will he become so great that we will look back in shame at the attempts to remove him according to CT.

Well, I guess if they are not expected to win, he is the right guy.

He’s my view, right wrong and most likely indifferent. But the odds makers got them around 70 wins. Those guys do this for a living. That’s where I draw my expectations.

Ha. It’s early for the popcorn and coke. So I’ll just savor a bowl.

I don't understand why they would do that. Did they think some other team would hire him away? Did they think this will excite the fans who stopped attending games?

Wouldn't you think that over time, he has to improve? Maybe he can step up and do a better job. My complaints have been his lineup changes after the Cardinals have had a brief, successful run, and his use of the pitching staff. Here is hoping that he does improve. Per the record, with the collective bargaining debacle coming up, he is about the best financial option for the Cardinals.

Couple thoughts. If he wins this year any at all over the 70 predictions, he’s a winner. Then the lockout. Does that count as his year two?

Doesn’t signing on to manage a predicted loser indicate a bridge over troubled waters.

As I have explained were perfect insight and clarity previously, DeWitt treasures loyalty above all things.
The Marmot was hired for one reason only: he has worked for the Cardinals since he was a child and will do and say exactly what he is told.
Whatever the ownership group and POBO decide, The Marmot will put on his skirt and cheerlead the plan.
That is why he was hired.
It is why he is still employed.

He is not my favorite for several reasons but strangely I’m ok with a short extension.
