Impressive.
Only 2 XB hits, but still.
Reason to hope...

Young energy!

Winning record in ST doesn't mean a lot but a fun, relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse is a good start

Yes, the young guys are having fun. I would bet that a few of these guys enjoyed reading the PECOTA projections where the metrics said the Cardinals would go 66 wins - 96 losses.
Probably the guys at a team meeting said OK, raise your hand if you think we will win 66 games or less this year ! Nobody raised their hand.
The guys all chuckled. Then they asked Oli what their bonus gift is if they win more than 66 this year.. .a huge beer party on the day they break 66.
Oli replied, A beer party ? No way ! If you can win 66 , steak and lobster on me ! .. but I'm now worried I know how inexperienced this group is and no way /no how you can win 66 so I am not sweating my offer !

If teams like the Cardinals continue to obliterate opponents, fans of high payroll teams will be looking to change the rules to cut payrolls.

You’re one of the morons, are you not? If it doesn’t mean anything, why talk about any of it any time?
