Eklund - Thomas/Islanders

Post by steve li »

Does he mean Islanders or Devils? Who knows, but I report, you decide.

Sources. Islanders are closing in on Robert Thomas.(e4). Extra interesting because the blues and Islanders are about to face off right now….

Update: He updated to Islanders playing Blue Jackets, so means Islanders. I guess.

Who would NYI have to offer?
Richie, Aicheson, and a first?

I am pretty certain that they view Ritchie as untouchable on long island. I think the most valuable prospect that they have is Ekland.

Eklund, Eiserman, a first and likely JG Pageau

They don’t have much of what I would want.

Yuck. If Thomas is traded, a young center with a lot of upside better be the main piece the Blues receive. In the Islanders case, it’d have to be Ritchie.

Simon Holmstrom
Emil Heineman
Victor Eklund
Cole Eiserman (not so sure about that name...)
Danny Nelson
Jacob Kvasnicka
Tomas Poletin

I'd take all of these guys and their 1sts plus some more picks this and next year.

THe guys on Blues Digest say that Thomas and Kryou are linked to the Isles

How about 2 1st (26) Ritchie, Aithsenson, JGP and or Lee ( to make cap space work), and Mayfield

If I were motivated or energetic, I'd take a physical notebook (in the moment) and record the "rumors" and "where there's smoke there's fire" and "as per 'insider xxx' " and calculate the ratio of fruition.

Obviously, I'm neither that motivated or energetic. Still, it's interesting how wound up folks get about such fodder.

Why bump this thread. Just let it fall off the forum.
