How did Fitts look?
I'm very curious about him and Dobbins. I'm not going to say they'll be special, but I could see them having a similar effect to what Marquis had when he came over in '04.

I was watching the Mets feed. I thought he looked ok. Hits were infield
Waiting to see Dobbins
What about the rule 5 player. Can't remember his name. Has not pitched yet. Is he injured. Are they just going to return him.
We wasted some money earlier on waver sighees

Walker is a 6’6 250lb 23yrold specimen of a human…..apparently penciled as starting RF…..with many questions as to whether he can hit MLB pitching….and this manager has him scheduled to play every other day???
Because 3-4 AB’s in a Spring Training game is too taxing on a 23yr old body??
JW needs as many swings as he can get against MLB pitching, Cards manager is once again proven an idiot.![]()
Should we put you in the “JW doesn’t require as many PA as possible in ST” column….brilliant
Perhaps we just save him for the regular season
When Walker inevitably sucks, as we agree he probably will, are you really going to look back in August and say “if only he got more at bats in Spring”?

Re: Cards lineup 2/25
Right or wrong Walker is bound for the opening day lineup. That’s a different argument. The question is whether an extra 20 Spring at bats is notably better for a hitter than 10 or 12 extra hours of backfield work with coaches.Goldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 20:14 pmActually you allow him to hit his way to AAA this spring……attempt to keep up fellasOzziesfan41 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 19:14 pmlol of course he willJohnnyMO wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 18:27 pmGoldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 15:28 pmOn this point we fully agree Paigeimetsatchelpaige wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 14:56 pmYou cannot fix the genetics of dumb.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 13:26 pmLordy...Goldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 11:00 am Wetherholt (L) SS

For some of you to be amazed and personally shattered that some posters here have negative BASEBALL comments about a team that has cut payroll in half, lost 1.5mil fans in Busch per season, has no STAR PLAYERS, is solely counting on a future based on PROSPECTS, and has no cable option for TV broadcasts as of 2/26, with ownership seemingly utterly clueless…..some would ask what reality is going on inside your head?

Hitting off a tee is a small part of it. They face live pitching, sometimes from major league pitchers sometimes minor league guys. lol and how would that differ from other month he’s played if you think an extra at bat or two is going to miraculously Turn JW into a good hitter you’re delusional or drinking way too much. You have no idea what he’s doing on the side that may be more Beneficial than getting at bats against minor leaguers but u always find a reason to whine![]()
Not that it matters I guess??
I guess I was just hoping that there were fewer of them on the planet.

THIS IS A CARDINALS TALK FORUM
Not some mental health blog for you arm chair psychiatrist to blather and worry about
A position is posted about the Cards organization. Either you agree or you don’t. Either respond or don’t about the BASEBALL TOPIC
Extrapolating a posters mental health or life’s direction from a comment about whether Jordan Walker can hit a baseball might indicate YOU need some therapy.

I think it’s funny that he gets called out by 90% of the posters for being a Whiner but ONLY seems to directly address you, me, and Paige.
We must be special?
He does provide comic relief and those cute emojis though!
Re: Cards lineup 2/25
Again, what has there been to cheer about the last few seasons? You 2 enjoyed the 71-91 season? Seeing MO hang on and destroy franchise? Seeing an incompetent manager? Watching Gorman and Walker embarrass themselves? No legit All-stars. No stars. Empty stadiumCusecards wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 09:57 amHe’s a fan. But if one called out all this mess before and while it’s happening…..somehow they’re a BAD Fan
Well about 1.5mil who actually went to games and now don’t fit that description with many more who used to watch at home.
