lol and how would that differ from other month he’s played if you think an extra at bat or two is going to miraculously Turn JW into a good hitter you’re delusional or drinking way too much. You have no idea what he’s doing on the side that may be more Beneficial than getting at bats against minor leaguers but u always find a reason to whineGoldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 12:52 pmWho says I’m simmered…..if you believe JW is just fine with swing and doesn’t need as many turns at the plate as humanly possible before the season starts…..I guess you’re entitled to opinion. When he’s hitting .190 a month into the season and posts start popping up as to why he was taken north….remember my bad “TAKE”Adam2 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 12:30 pmearly spring training isn't all MLB pitching. simmer down, this is the break in period after an offseason. As i've seen others post the last few months, you do have some uniformed takes. I'm starting to agree with themGoldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 11:23 amHe needs plate time against MLB pitching in game situations…..as much as possible….this isn’t a team full of vets where you can run ST as you described Most of the “starters” are unprovenTheFantasyStud wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 11:19 am The minor leaguers get most of the playing time in the first week or two before they trim the roster. Having Walker not play as much now is because his roster spot is guaranteed. Walker can get more quality at bats on the back field. They usually just put 2 or 3 big leaguers on the field this early to keep paying fans happy.
With live at-bats against opposingg pitchers, Walker would have the video to look at and a coaching staff who can work with him one-on-one to improve that swing.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 12:56 pmlol and how would that differ from other month he’s played if you think an extra at bat or two is going to miraculously Turn JW into a good hitter you’re delusional or drinking way too muchGoldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 12:52 pmWho says I’m simmered…..if you believe JW is just fine with swing and doesn’t need as many turns at the plate as humanly possible before the season starts…..I guess you’re entitled to opinion. So in your great baseball wisdom…..hitting of a tee…..is just as good as live MLB pitching…..for ole JW. Didn’t you hear, he’s been working real hard at Driveline…..new stance,……new swing…..but lets not find as many AB’s in ST to test thatOzziesfan41 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 12:56 pmlol and how would that differ from other month he’s played if you think an extra at bat or two is going to miraculously Turn JW into a good hitter you’re delusional or drinking way too much. simmer down. It will all be ok. Early ST is mainly minor leaguers. Plenty of side work happening. Even though you think otherwise, the cardinals coaching staff on the hitting side miiiiiggghht know a little more than you. why are you so worked up?Goldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 13:01 pmSo in your great baseball wisdom…..hitting of a tee…..is just as good as live MLB pitching…..for ole JW.
