Cards lineup 2/25
Wetherholt (L) SS
José Fermín (R) 2B
Nolan Gorman (L) 3B
Nelson Velázquez (R) RF
Leonardo Bernal (S) C
Nathan Church (L) CF
Joshua Baez (R) DH
Blaze Jordan (R) 1B
Chase Davis (L) LF
Walker is a 6’6 250lb 23yrold specimen of a human…..apparently penciled as starting RF…..with many questions as to whether he can hit MLB pitching….and this manager has him scheduled to play every other day???
Because 3-4 AB’s in a Spring Training game is too taxing on a 23yr old body??
JW needs as many swings as he can get against MLB pitching, Cards manager is once again proven an idiot.

Re: Cards lineup 2/25
The minor leaguers get most of the playing time in the first week or two before they trim the roster. Having Walker not play as much now is because his roster spot is guaranteed. Walker can get more quality at bats on the back field. They usually just put 2 or 3 big leaguers on the field this early to keep paying fans happy.
Re: Cards lineup 2/25
He needs plate time against MLB pitching in game situations…..as much as possible….this isn’t a team full of vets where you can run ST as you described Most of the “starters” are unprovenTheFantasyStud wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 11:19 am The minor leaguers get most of the playing time in the first week or two before they trim the roster. Re: Cards lineup 2/25
Roster spots guaranteed is a bit laughable in this scenario. We aren’t taking all stars or 20 career WAR players here being guaranteed. Walker still has options and wasn’t even a starter for much of last year.TheFantasyStud wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 11:19 am The minor leaguers get most of the playing time in the first week or two before they trim the roster. Going to watch on Mets feed. St Louis has no live broadcast
Re: Cards lineup 2/25
Cards go 1-2-3 in the top of the first.
Re: Cards lineup 2/25
a Richard Fitts sighting.
Re: Cards lineup 2/25
Fitts gives up an infield single to third then gets 3 groundouts, including Soto.
four seamer and sinker both hitting 97

Ole Dick Fitts
Re: Cards lineup 2/25
early spring training isn't all MLB pitching. simmer down, this is the break in period after an offseason. As i've seen others post the last few months, you do have some uniformed takes. I'm starting to agree with themGoldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 11:23 amHe needs plate time against MLB pitching in game situations…..as much as possible….this isn’t a team full of vets where you can run ST as you described Most of the “starters” are unprovenTheFantasyStud wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 11:19 am The minor leaguers get most of the playing time in the first week or two before they trim the roster. Re: Cards lineup 2/25
Hopefully he can grab one if the starters position
Re: Cards lineup 2/25
We are in complete agreement on this. There aren't real veterans on this squad. Some of these guys need at-bats against live arms and need those at-bats desperately.Goldfan wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 11:00 am Wetherholt (L) SS

Fitts no troule in the second.
Seems like a lot of pitches thrown though.
box score doesn't say how many

Re: Cards lineup 2/25
Davis with a hit
Do we have any outfielders that hits from the right side
We don't have many

Re: Cards lineup 2/25
Who says I’m simmered…..if you believe JW is just fine with swing and doesn’t need as many turns at the plate as humanly possible before the season starts…..I guess you’re entitled to opinion. When he’s hitting .190 a month into the season and posts start popping up as to why he was taken north….remember my bad “TAKE”Adam2 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026 12:30 pmearly spring training isn't all MLB pitching. simmer down, this is the break in period after an offseason.
