UFL implementing some interesting new rules for the 2026 season, including:
Field goals longer than 60 yards will be 4 points.
Teams can't punt once they cross the 50.
Receivers only need 1 foot in-bounds for a catch.

I like the no punt rule. Soccer should adopt that. Once you cross midfield no passing it all the way back to your goalie.

I foresee a situation with time running out and 4 points behind and it would only be a 55 yard field goal so quarterback takes a shotgun snap and immediately takes a knee and calls time out so as to have the opportunity for a 60 yard field goal.
