I have a new one in our basement for my Grandson. He is 19 months old and is a twin. His twin sister doesn't have one yet since she is acting like she is a lefty. When we figure out which hand she will throw with, I'll get her a glove.

Anybody else watching hate the centerfield camera position? Base runner or shortstop keep getting in the way of seeing the catcher.

Has their been one decent catchers throw to 2B in this game by either team?
Re: Cards Marlins on MLB net now
Oh, is that where they were trying to throw ? Could have fooled me I thought they were practicing fielders catching bad throws .. ex. Winn leaping over 2nd toward JJ side and later Marlins catcher seeing if the CF was backing up properly on overthrows to him .Clubmaker2 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 13:52 pm Has their been one decent catchers throw to 2B in this game by either team?

Regarding JJs baserunning, I just saw a replay of him being thrown out at 3b when the Cardinals scored their run in the first.Whatashame wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 13:24 pm In spite of the fielding miscues, that was some nice baserunning by JJW which led to the second run. The Cardinals tie the game without getting a hit but took advantage on the bases.
Was this a matter of him trying to draw a throw to ensure that Burleson scored from second, or was this bad base running by JJ?
Any thoughts?

I think both. I think he was trying to take a throw away from Burleson trying to score from second on the basehit but I’m not sure it was needed. The bad part was it looked like he was almost giving himself up so Burleson could score. He kinda just stopped in the middle which didn’t help matters much.

game is on Spectrum channel 6 - Matrix Midwest - maybe just because it is the MLB game of the day?

Walk off wild pitch winner!
Cardiac Cardinals?
Cardiac Cardinals?
Re: Cards Marlins on MLB net now
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such a bad call. The ball not only hit off the bat, but it ricocheted in the opposite direction. Lance Barkdale must’ve really wanted to get out of there.
Re: Cards Marlins on MLB net now
It looked to be a miscommunication between JJ and Pop Warner waiving Burly in. JJ kept coming around 2nd and then shut it down when he realized that was all for Burly and he was hung up. Probably just trying to do a little too much there. That’s what spring is for, Go Cards!Whatashame wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 14:46 pmsp25 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 14:41 pmRegarding JJs baserunning, I just saw a replay of him being thrown out at 3b when the Cardinals scored their run in the first.Whatashame wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 13:24 pm In spite of the fielding miscues, that was some nice baserunning by JJW which led to the second run. Too funny. She is throwing to me with both arms. She is mimicking fastpitch pitching with her left arm. Grandson can throw a ball with his right hand a good distance for a 19-month-old. We play ball every day.ramfandan wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 13:45 pmA thought .. get her a custom made Cijntje 6 finger model that she could wear on either hand .. Burleson was going to score on that.
The play was right on front of him.

Thanks, that was my take on watching the replay. Why make the 3rd out at third?11WSChamps wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 16:47 pmPoor baserunning play.sp25 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 14:41 pmRegarding JJs baserunning, I just saw a replay of him being thrown out at 3b when the Cardinals scored their run in the first.Whatashame wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 13:24 pm In spite of the fielding miscues, that was some nice baserunning by JJW which led to the second run. We can say, well, he's young, but good baserunning begins in youth baseball. He should know better.
