Thru 3 games: .179 BA and next to last in hits and yet...
...teams keep gifting us runs.
While other teams came to ST ready to hit in bunches, we came ready to ... capitalize on errors? Quite the scoring efficiency that Oli has going so far. Will be interesting to see how this roster shakes in a month.
The pitching is doing a bit better in team ERA but we should probably give them a full run thru the roation at least before looking at much there. This just feels like spring where we could benefit from a host of split squad games like in the 80s to get a lot more players PT at the same time without having to sit on the bench so long between ABs.

LOL...Today they were outhit and had no homeruns and yet they still won. Maybe they're the next iteration of hit-less wonders.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 15:27 pm ...teams keep gifting us runs.

I think we were next to last in HRs last year. I’d expect us to hit fewer this year. We will probably really struggle to score this year.

I’m predicting more than 200 homers and 200 steals this year.
Hopefully we get 100 + from
Walker 25
Herrera 30
Buerleson 25
Gorman 30

Curating whines for the season and it's not even March. That's preparation.

If one of these four happen, I’ll be pleased. If two happen, I’ll be shocked.TheFantasyStud wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 15:50 pm I’m predicting more than 200 homers and 200 steals this year.

There is a 95% chance that this team sucks, but why are we acting like 3 ST games matter?Carp4Cy wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 15:27 pm ...teams keep gifting us runs.

.667 winning percentage. That’s 108 wins. Go Cards.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 15:27 pm ...teams keep gifting us runs.

Quite the bold prediction ... To get 200 HR's , the Cards would move from 29th place in HR's last year to ? 10th Tigers had 198 HR's in 2025TheFantasyStud wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 15:50 pm I’m predicting more than 200 homers and 200 steals this year.

so 29th one year to 10th this year .. Even with the 100+ you mentioned , you need to subract out what was lost with Contreras , Arenado and Donovan 42 HR's were lost with those three ... 20, 12 , and 10 respectively .

Marmol knows how to produce runs without the long ball. Excellent manager. Unless you’re like 95% of the people that know of spring training doesn’t mean anything. Only people that don’t know a thing about baseball cry about the first three games of the preseason.MCCard wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 15:38 pmLOL...Today they were outhit and had no homeruns and yet they still won. They will cry in the offseason when there are no games cry in spring training when players who won’t even be on team are playing and all season long

They (you know the names) can’t wait for a loss tomorrow. A meaningless loss so they can say, they told you so. Most people already know that the season won’t be great. I don’t need to be reminded every day. Some people just need participation trophies.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 23:34 pm+1 but for some crying and whining is a years long exercise soCardinals1964 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 23:27 pmMarmol knows how to produce runs without the long ball.
