rodriguez is extemely young. It can only benefit him to spend a significant amount of additional time in the minor league levels

I would agree on Burly, He is what he is which is a nice side piece. I don't see how he becomes more than that. A valuable piece, but not a center piece for a playoff team. Like you, I hope Baez continues to ascend

Don't judge in 3 months on JJW. many examples in baseball with rookies starting slowly and then surging later. One of the latest was in our own divison a couple years ago . Similarly top rated prospect Jackson Chourio started his rookie campaign (2024) and was hitting .207 entering the month of June struggling from the get go . He proceeded to hit .304 for the remainder of the year ending the season with a .275 BA
Not saying JJW will do the same but even the first 3 months can be far different than the total 6 months.
I can only imagine the posts on CT if JJ is hitting .207 his first few months too. Will include Ha Ha Everyone thought JJ was going to be a star . Looks like Walker 2.0 ..Another example of player being rushed ! OR the one you cited could be used Minor league hitting doesn't always translate into MLB hitting .
So keep in mind Chourio . Even 3 months can fool people . JJ more experienced than the 20 yr old Chourio as a rookie but don't miss my point .. Good hitters can struggle early and often do . JJ started Double A ball going 0 for 17 remember that too. IF JJ goes 0 for 17 his first four games this season like he did last year in Double A , this CT forum will erupt ! lol Warning : Don't fall into the trap that 0 for whatever will label him a bust !
You may have egg on your face by the end of the season when posters cite your early comments. Of course , some will try to save face by the ' Well I am glad I was wrong ! comment lol

Fully agree, but would add that it is also highly beneficial for him to spend as much time as possible right now with major league players and seeing some major league pitchers.
